Great little place

Centrally located, we saw EVERYTHING in DC and nothing. Was over 20 minutes away. Perfect for a small family vacation. Even if you don't want to venture to central DC plenty to do mount pleasant.

Good time

It was a good stay over all but I traveled will a family member with bad knees and in the apartment the sud-floor was uneven and led to the knee pain and the floors pulling up and leading to cuts on the feet. There where only 4 people (56 to 15) and it was a little crowded but it was cheaper and larger than a hotel to if the tiny things do not bother you this is a great place to stay.

City/Country Mix

This unit has everything that you could need for a trip to DC. Located in a very cool neighborhood with views of nature outside the door but right in the heart of a city neighborhood. We easily walked to a cafe and enjoyed a delicious lunch and to a market for essentials. The off street parking was a huge plus. The unit is outfitted with so many conveniences from kitchen tools and appliances to coffee/tea/creamers/sweeteners to several different charging cords that would work on a variety of tech products as well as noise machines/night lights in the bedroom. The living room/dining are was very comfortable as were both the bedrooms. The bathroom has all the essentials. There is an in unit washer/dryer and TV that we did not use but is available. Keep in mind that the listing mentions that people live upstairs and that is definitely apparent due to the age of the home. I would absolutely consider staying here again. Thank you for making our trip so much easier and comfortable.

Great place -

My stay was absolutely perfect! The home was spotless and had all the amenities I needed. The host was incredibly friendly and quick to respond, making check-in and communication seamless. The location was great for our needs; very close to the zoo and to family we are visiting. Highly recommend this place.

Great family getaway!

We wanted a quick getaway from Hampton Roads for part our Spring Break. We have friends that live in Mt Pleasant so we were familiar with the location. It’s easy to get to, and having a dedicated parking spot from the back alley was super convenient. Having a guest concierge available by text was a bonus. The listing clearly stated that the family lives in the house, and if you are not familiar with these 100 year old houses, they aren’t particularly quiet. That being said, we were very comfortable, the place was nice and clean and perfect for a few days stay. I had to learn how to use a French press coffee maker which is luckily very simple! If you are using a rideshare app, make sure you drag the pickup pin to the back alley and be sure to message or call your driver so they know where you are. We will certainly stay here again next time we visit!

Lovely little apartment for our small family

Apartment was charming and cozy. An excellent space in a safe neighborhood from which to explore D.C! Beds were comfortable and it was way more convenient and affordable than staying in a nearby hotel during tourist season! Property manager was helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect DC spot!

Loved our stay. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet while also being walkable and convenient to lots of public transportation. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and attractive. We'll definitely stay here again on future DC trips!

the host has thought of EVERYTHING!

My husband, 14 year old, 11 year old and myself stayed here this past week. It was a great setup for the 4 of us. The master bedroom is very spacious and the guest room was perfect for our kids. The host has disposable earplugs for all the guests, a usb cord with all types of chargers connected, extension cord with many outlets and usb plugs, blankets in each of the closets and tower fans and sound machines in each room as well! In the bathroom, though small, it is fully equipped with soap/shampoo/conditioner. I loved the extra touch of having travel size Neutragena face wipes available too! There’s a full first aid kit in the bathroom and a hair dryer under the sink. I was overly impressed with this unit! The only con I thought of were the light coming in from the windows (blackout shades would’ve been nice but not completely necessary). Overall, we really enjoyed this place and would highly recommend it! It’s a bit of a drive to DC but Uber worked just fine! (We walked to the front side of the house each time for the Uber to find us since it is a bit confusing for drivers). Average cost was about $20 one way from the house to DC (capital/Smithsonian's/ touristy areas. The money you save by not staying in the city, you may spend on Uber ;)

Family visits DC

This property was a nice home away from home. It was very clean and was supplied with lots of necessities such as detergent, spices, bathroom extras. There is a parking spot and we were able to park our Chevrolet Full sized double cab truck, it was tight, but we managed it! We felt very safe in the lovely neighborhood and its location was very convenient! Definitely would stay there again.

Good space for a short stay

We enjoyed our stay at this basement-ish property. It has all the essential items, but be warned it is small. There is no outside area to sit and very few small windows to putside area. Although really like property a couple things could be improved. There were a total of 4 bath towels, no hand towels or washcloths. The French press was a fun different item for coffee but a cheap regular pot would have been a nice option to have. Beds were very comfortable and there's several stores and eateries within 10 to 20 minute walk each way. One more item that would be great to have for guests would be small grocery cart. We bought some groceries and would have got more if we had a way to get them home on the walk.

Great location

We had a great stay. Property was as listed. It was hot while we were there so the property being a basement was a plus. There is AC but you can’t control it. So if you have particular temperature requirements that might be an issue but we happened to like it the way it was. You can hear the upstairs tenant very clearly as well, but he wasn’t up at any weird hours. The neighborhood is very cool, full of character and families, seems safe. 0.7 mile walk to transit. Good restaurants nearby. You can walk into Rock Creek Park more or less out the back door.

Comfortable and Convenient

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment near our son’s home, and within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, Target, and the Metro. The neighborhood is lovely. Our hosts were helpful and gracious, and they responded promptly to any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again.

Great place to stay for a few nigths

Apartment is nice, very well furnished, prefect for 3 persons. Apartment is in the basement and quite dark during the day, also walls are paper thin and you can hear everything happening above the apartment.
