Plenty of space to spread out and the large table was nice to eat meals together. A bit tight moving around in the kitchen but overall a great property.
The property was exactly as represented, clean and in wonderful condition. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and or bake. The large dining space was wonderful, allowing us to enjoy all our meals together. Plenty of activities for indoor fun when too wet outside to play. The host is great to work with. Totally recommend!
Excellent location for hanging out and catching up with cousins you have seen in years. Private beach access and fires on the beach we're amazing. Game room and grilling were a great addition. Furniture and beds a bit dated, but , but you can't beat the location.
This property was set up perfectly for a family reunion. The property was clean and spacious and the proximity to the beach made evening campfires a joy.
Fantastic place to have extended family, from all-reaches, congregate and enjoy a wonderful weekend. Enough room to spread-out and cool places (game room, TV room, kitchen, backyard, beach) to enjoy each other. Extremely well-appointed.
We found that most of the cook wear we used throughout our stay had to be washed prior to using it. We really enjoyed the property other than that. The beach is fantastic and it's a nice walk from the house to get to the beach. Very roomy house that's well equipped.
Even though we could not see the ocean, the view of the sand dunes behind the house was so pretty. In addition, we all loved watching the wildlife through the picture windows.
Unique, with the main part of the house being like a log cabin. Plenty of space for 11 of us, and would have easily slept our original party of 16. Beds for everyone. Huge kitchen and pantry, with a dinning room table to seat everyone. Enjoyable walk to the beach....lots of sand dollars. Close to Astoria, and Seaside for extra grocery runs. Alot of fun. Game room was huge, and the pool and ping pong tables being a hug hit!!!
Only negatives is the main living room furniture is old and on the "last legs" of life. Such a hugh space that it was really, really cold, and took a while to heat.....some of the girls were cold the entire time......bring clothes to layer in the winter and spring months. There is no heat in the game room.......the entire floor is 12" tile. That was a bummer, since we spent a lot of time there......you had to wear sweat shirts to be in that space.....they should install space heaters.
Overall, excellent experience for our families!!!
House is as advertised/described. It has everything you need. Great way to experience the beach and the whole NW OR coast area. Onsite host is a good facilitator and was a positive part of the whole experience.
The night we arrived the house was freezing! We knew that it might take awhile for the huge house to warm up. Well, by the next morning it still wasnât warm. Called the property manager and it was fixed, but took all day to warm up. While the problem was fixed, we had 70+ aged people in our group. 55 is too cold to come into. The system which is a âsmart systemâ isnât very smart.
Once the heat was fixed, it was great! Size was perfect, and well stocked!
The layout was a little odd but overall it was a great place to stay. We came to celebrate my 40th birthday and had a great time. The game room was great for the kids, close to the beach for some kite flying, and a nice fire pit for sâmore making.
Perfect spot with easy access to beach and other activities. Lots of space to spread out. Heating took a few days to warm up and beds were hard on us with bad backs. Owner was the best and came immediately to check in on us when the power went off and when we needed a few tools. Looking forward to coming back.
We used this house for a business retreat and it worked out great. Plenty of space for people to spread out. The guys enjoyed the game room. The kitchen table was great for playing games. Great view of the dunes (NOT the ocean which was fine) and we were visited by dear on both days and a pheasant. A little dated but everyone was pleased.
The check in process and interacting with the property manager was among the best Iâve ever had.
The house has all of the games and activities youâll need. Lots of stuff to do at the place and plenty of room to spread out. This would be a great vacation spot for families with kids. The house is huge!
This house has a very interesting layout, but is great for a larger group. There are kind of three different hangout areas (game room, main living room, upper living room) - which we found awesome. The kitchen table is huge, probably our favorite part of the house because we could play games with everyone sitting around one table comfortably.
Pros: Great for a large group! (Lots of beds - we didnât use every bed and there were also untouched couches/pull-out beds, lots of bathrooms, ample parking), game room provides a lot of entertainment for kids and adults, fire pit is awesome, the kitchen is fully updated and nice, beach access is awesome, we had multiple wildlife sightings directly in the backyard (deer, elk and various birds)
Cons: Very outdated furniture in living rooms considering what youâre paying per night (stains, broken, etc.), donât have window coverings on all windows or skylights in bedrooms so very bright very early, lacking cleaning supplies (nothing to spray down the counter or table with, one bathroom was supplied with single roll of toilet paper), considering what youâre paying the toiletries provided seemed lackluster (itâs a single dispenser of a 2-in-1 shower gel/shampoo), the decks are different - only access point is through the house so to get chairs on them you have to bring chairs from the garage, through the interior of the house, upstairs and outside. There are two smaller decks on each side of the house, both are on the second level but have no connectivity to the lower level - railing on the north side definitely needs to be replaced.
Obvious areas of water leaks in the past or current (bubbled paint below skylight in upper living room, staining under large windows in main living room).
Overall we had a great time, but we did think it was interesting there were so many defects considering thereâs a caretaker on-site and the hefty price you pay per night to stay there.
One other thing that was awkward - driving by houses with multiple signs saying âNO SHORT TERM RENTALS!!â. We werenât sure if we were going to have neighbors get mad at us just for being there. We hadnât seen anything like that in our 33 years of Labor Day beach weekends, but this was our first time in Warrenton.
