Overall our experience was disappointing. The location of the house is terrific the house has lots of potential but the amenities need improving. Having reached out to the host in advanced, never received the information on how to entered the property and had to contact VRBO directly. While linens are provided guests have to make the beds on arrival. Towels are provided but only one wash cloth could be found and many of the towels are old and stained. The house had an infestation of cluster flys, dead flys in the bathroom and window sills. Our dinner plans had to be abandoned as the kitchen oven made the entire house smell like gas. No working smoke detectors in the house. A camera in the living room was uncomfortable and we had to turn it towards the wall and put a cloth over it, not sure if conversations were still able to be heard. I didn’t think VRBO allowed interior cameras. In general new bedding is needed in this house. Several blankets and comforters have rips and stains including mattress covers. Dust and more dead flies under the bed too. Several light bulbs were out. Had to reach out to the host to get the driveway plowed after getting 8 inches of snow, Not clear on what to do with garbage, VRBO app said to take the garbage to the dump and the instructions on the refrigerator said to put the garbage in the bins, there were no bins; we took the garage to the dump. In general, this was probably the most disappointing house I have ever rented.
