« The Paddler's Retreat is REALLY out of the way. We enjoyed our stay however, people need to understand that all services are limited. Due to Covid there is only a very limited breakfast, mostly cold. If you want tea, you will need to use the microwave. The range is not available. Furthermore, the options are more limited for dinner. There is only a gas station / limited eatery that stop serving at 6:30pm. The little town, Confluence is about 5 miles away. « I am a regular at this hotel and I asked to check in early for about an hour, so from 11-12. Because I had to leave again and not return until 4:00pm. I Just needed to freshen up after a 5 hour drive. They wanted to charge me an extra fee of which I didn’t have, however they did let me use the lobby’s bathroom so I can wash my face and change clothing . The reception even recognized me from previous stays, but unable to accommodate. »
