Tout était parfait: emplacement, propreté, espace et surtout gentillesse du personnel. Petit déjeuner parfait. Seul petit point négatif : notre chambre donnait dans une rue un peu bruyante mais c'est le prix à payer pour être en plein centre de La Valette, juste à côté de St John's Cathedral. De plus, les fenêtres sont bien isolantes.

Je m'attendais à mieux pour ce type de standing. Chambre au rdc sans fenetre. Jaurais préféré que cela soit indiqué dans la description de la chambre. Sdb avec probleme de ventilation.

J'ai bénéficié soit disant d'une offre promotionnelle sur Expedia pour une suite dans cet hôtel. Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une chambre au rdc sans fenêtre avec une climatisation qui ne fonctionnait pas et une odeur d'humidité. Dommage car le personnel est agréable et le petit déjeuner très copieux. Esperons que les autres chambres soit mieux.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location.
Beautiful hotel, well placed in the centre of Valletta. Very courteous staff. Fantastic breakfast. Perfect for exploring Valletta and convenient for transport to the rest of Malta. Very comfortable beds. Some rooms a little noisy due to the cathedral clock chiming every 15 minutes. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed during our stay because of Covid regulations.

Hôtel remarquablement situé au centre historique de La Valette; toutes les visites se font à pied. Chambres et prestations conformes au classement 4*. Personnel très professionnel, jeune et avenant. Le restaurant mérite aussi une mention de satisfaction particulière. Une seule ombre, les chauffeurs de taxi à l'aéroport ne connaissent pas le Cumberland, sauf moyennant finances supplémentaires; c'est honteux, mais à Paris, c'est pareil !!!

Excellent accueil et emplacement, á 5 minutes á pieds du parking MCP (carte de 7 entrées pour 35€, la solution la plus simple et économique pour stationner á la valette). Chambre vaste, calme et moderne, petit déjeuner inclus de très bonne qualité avec un très grand choix. C’est l’hôtel idéal pour séjourner et découvrir malte. Le roof top offre également une splendide vue sur la ville.

This is a great hotel in a really good location in Valletta. We had a deluxe room with a terrace which was clean and very comfortable. Although the terrace faced onto the street the room was very quiet at night. The staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast in the Grana restaurant was very good. The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance of all the sights in Valletta, 10 minutes or so from the bus terminal and only about 15 minutes from the Gozo ferry terminal. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I don't understand why they're writing that they're committed to sustainability and are eco-friendly - we were there 2 nights and got our bed sheets changed and towels changed (we did NOT leave them on the floor), also cleaner threw away the soap bar that we used once and left a new one... Unbelievable... The cleaner has also misplaced the things around the room, like I found a toothpaste inside my backpack in the room (?). The property is nice, but worn out in many places. Our room was on 1st floor and was it was loud - from 7am we could not sleep as the phone was constantly ringing at the reception and the staff was going around cleaning and preparing breakfast - there is completely no isolation at the door. The double bed felt nothing like 5 star hotel bed - very small and not too comfortable. The staff is very friendly and super polite, the location of the place is great.

Amazing stay!
Amazing small hotell in central Valetta. Large room, quiet and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast ordered from the restaurants menu, included in our stay. Always tasty, fresh food/coffee and with very friendly and attentive servers. We were 2 adults and 1 teenager in the suite, with sofabed upstairs. Perfect solution for us instead of 2 rooms. Can definitely recommend!

First Time in Malta
This was our first time in Malta and therefore our first time at The Cumberland Hotel. This is a lovely hotel, situated in the heart of Valletta. It is very close to shops and restaurants and places of interest, such as churches and museums. All of the staff we came into contact with at the hotel, receptionists, housekeeping staff, restaurant staff, were very friendly, polite and professional. Two of the reception staff stood out to us, they are Juliana and Zsanett, both of these receptionists were very helpful to us during our stay. The room was beyond our expectations, it was clean and tidy and very spacious. We booked a deluxe suite with a terrace and city view and we were not disappointed. Our stay included breakfast, there was a variety of items on the menu to choose from which catered to all tastes. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor of the hotel, the food was cooked fresh and was delicious. We ate at the restaurant every morning and on a couple of evenings. During Maltese bank holidays it is advisable to book a table at the restaurant if you want to eat there. It is a popular restaurant because of the good food and great service. I can definitely recommend The Cumberland Hotel as a place to stay in Malta.
