I arrived for my stay and the front desk clerk was great. The bathroom in my booked room had mold in the top half of the wall. Took pictures, called my husband, told the front desk, and I was eventually moved to a better room downstairs, after looking at another room that had the same issue. I watched my husband do mold remediation for over 13 years, so I suggest actually taking care of the mold issue instead painting over them and saying itâs just from painting. It doesnât help. The smell is still there, and it was black mold. HIGHLY DANGEROUS!
As far as cleanliness of my 2nd room, it could be done a lot better. There was makeup still in the sink which leaks when you run the water too long, no tissue paper, and empty small shampoo and conditioner bottles on the counter. Fix the pipe under the sink instead of putting tape around it. You can tell there wasnât any major cleaning done. Just enough to get by. Which I saw how fast they cleaned the room next to mine.
For the property itself, cigarette butts all over the stairs, a beer bottle, trash on the ground of the outside walkway, ice machine area had spider webs and dead bugs. They need a designated smoking area instead of having people smoke by or on the stairs or balcony. Everyone doesnât want to smell smoke coming into their room, or walk by it.
Overall, Iâm glad I was around a lot of restaurants, but the hotel stay could have been better.
