Lodges in Upstate New York

'Great little spot, hidden off Route 20. Staff was very accommodating and supportive but I had issues with the WiFi, the size of the shower and unpredictability of hot water, and the fact that the bathroom window is directly across from the shower. Normally, the final point wouldn’t be an issue but the blinds didn’t go all the way down so I felt a bit exposed. I stayed in Room 3. I did not eat at the restaurant but their menu was extensive and they were willing to work with my dietary...

'We absolutely loved our two nights at the Alander, Jason, Reid, and Presley were amazing and kind and we absolutely encourage anyone thinking to stay here to do so!'

'Uniek verblijf midden in de natuur! Even wat anders dan alle hotels. Leuke voorzieningen op de camping. Wc en douche erg schoon. Zeker aan te raden! '

'It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. Antique furniture, pines cones, snowshoes, layered bedding...like in an LLBean catalog. The bed was super comfy. I had a large screen TV and mini fridge in the room. Although there is a...

'We love staying here!'

'Everything was great. It was what we expected, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. It is a little overpriced for what it is and where it's located'

'What an absolute gem! We stayed for one night at the lodge and were very delighted with our experience. The lodge was beautiful, clean, and quiet. We will certainly return next time we are traveling through the area.'

'This was a nice place to stay for a brief, overnight stay. It was conveniently located in the heart of town and just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Long Lake. The room was a little basic but it did have a super refreshing shower. Would stay again because of the nice staff & convenience factor.'

'Beautiful location with view ar the Salmon river. Good restaurant. Good room and bed'

'The property appeared run down and closed as we arrived. When we found a person they shared the ownership just changed in the last couple of weeks. Regardless of that when we booked there were photos of the restaurant and tavern with great reviews and arrived to find it sitting with all sorts of supplies, furniture etc just strewn about. No lights on and staff in and out of rooms open to the outside, smoking while cleaning. The windows barely opened, screens were in disrepair, towels were...

'Nice clean, warm cabin'
