'We stayed here as our son was competing in the Lake Placid Ironman. This location was perfect. Short drive to Lake Placid. The property was exactly as described and even better in person. It's cute and cozy. The Jay area is beautiful and would love to come back and hike in the area, as the cabin is close to many trail heads(short drive, under 15 minutes) Shannon's communication was outstanding! I had questions regarding the property as well as requested recommendations for restaurant's. ...

'this was a wonderfully cozy cabin that was perfect for our family of 4. it was close to saranac lake and lake placid and made for a great launching point for our day trips. We always enjoyed coming back to the home and prepare food and relax by the fire pit. it was an ideal getaway. thank you!'

'Secluded and cozy. The kitchen had everything we could have needed to cook two delicious dinners with local ingredients from our favorite Rivermede market. (The grill was also in excellent condition) From the well kept firepit to the comfy beds, this A Frame had the perfect combination to help us wind down after our hikes. '

'There is no cell service and the cooking equipment needs updating. But the location is spectacular. Fishing was awesome right off the docks. The cabin is clean and comfy. We will visit again and bring our boat bext time!'

'We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson's cabin. The house was clean and comfortable. As others have mentioned there are steep stairs down to the dock and up to the master bedroom loft, but that didn't bother us. The water is about 5.5' deep off the dock and we swam every day. At the time of our stay there was a two person kayak, a one person kayak, a small sit-on-top kayak, and a large paddle board. There are a handful DVDs to watch. 'Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book!'

'This cabin was tucked away from the main road, giving a good balance of privacy and easy accessibility to lots of hiking options. Check in was super easy, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and while small, the shower offered great water pressure from its wide shower head. The deck was great for doing yoga on and the washer/dryer was convenient. We loved getting ice cream from the place down the street!'

'What a great trip we had in Lake Placid. The house was great and the location was beautiful. Very close to the lake with a nice front deck and covered porch at the front as well. It was also just a few minutes from town and stores. Very short walk to a marina for boat tours and kayaking and small swimming area at the lake. HIGHLY recommend!'
