10/10
Great little place to stay with our kids: 14 and 11. This year was the first beach vacation that our son didn't want to spend the entire time indoors playing video games. The beach was perfect, not too crowded like Hilton Head or the Destin area. We rented a golf cart to make our way around for the week which was great because we didn't have to pay for parking. Parking is 8 a day on the island without the cart. No dogs are allowed on the beach, so that was a bummer. Our retired working dog Roxie loves the water so that was hard not to take her. We ate out every meal, so the only thing I can attest to is the use of the water kettle which we used for our portable espresso machine and grinder. It got the job done. There was a Keurig but we are a bit bougie with our coffee. We took a shark tooth hunting excursion out of Bull River Marina. It was great! I posted a photo below of our finds. As for the beach the waves were great. Green flags all days. North shore where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic is another free great spot for shark tooth hunting for free. I highly recommend a Shibumi shade (Ace Hardware on Wilmington Island) sells them. We had bought another shade at a local store but it was junk. Splurge and get the shade. The only thing I wish I had during the stay was a broom, to sweep the sand off the stairs and knock down spider webs.
