CO2 alarm was going from 05:30AM Friday morning and continued to be a problem through Sunday when, reps from NorthStar, Vacasa, and the local Fire Department.
Fire department was there at 10PM on Saturday night, CO2 alarms expired, alarm then went off and alerted the fire department a second time. Sensors 10 years old and expired. Sign in the condo said DO NOT TOUCH the system, call management company. Management company said, “Not their problem” The condo was not in compliance, the alarm went off for 2 solid days, The entire stay was unacceptable, the local Vacasa rep had. Broken arm and was unable to come to property, We were told to call the owner but was never given owners contact info.
Call center for Vacasa was completely unhelpful, text help sympathetic, but also unhelpful, unable to get any property manager to the property. I waited 12 hours before calling the fire department due to not knowing if there was actually a CO2 problem
NorthStar rep, and fire department stuck around for some time to ensure things were clear late into the night.
The condo was as advertised, location was great, having out of compliance safety equipment in default and the fire department there multiple times was disruptive, and dangerous.
