'The good: This hotel is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The room was comfortable and, the first night, very quiet. The tiny town is charming, an architectural throwback. Nice bakery across the street. The not so good: The hotel has no staff on site - literally never saw an employee. Since I had no cell phone service in the entire area and the hotel has no landline phones accessible by guests, the only way to communicate was via internet. So, when internet service went completely out...

'Going back in time!! Very friendly staff. A great place to stay! Not the modern stuff, no TV at the room! WiFi is ok. Just one hour away from SF. And an whole other world! Like going back to the 60ies!!'

'We had a very nice stay at Lodge at Bodega Bay. The room we booked was not available on our date due to construction but guest services contacted me ahead of time and made accommodations that we were happy with and included an extra welcome gift. The premises is beautiful and we enjoyed the bocce ball court and the Drake's Restaurant. A very nice place for a special celebration getaway!'

'No AC was communicated with us. It was 85 degrees in the room and would have been great to know upon arrival. No hot water.'

'For the price and location I’d say it was fair. The complex is huge. Hosting 3 different motel chains. There was evidence of a county homeless navigation centers emergency housing in several units and the mental health issues that go with that. I didn’t feel uncomfortable. A guy from a local Christian Denomination stood out front with a bull horn and conducted a sermon on Saturday night till 9pm. I thought that showed the county at heart. Compassion and hope re hard to find in this fair...

'The hotel is situated in a lovely location. Rooms were nice and clean. There was a slight odor, but being so close to the water it not surprising with humidity. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff very pleasant. '
