We booked a two night stay at this beautiful and peaceful house. Everything about this house was perfect. The rooms beautifully decorated with perfect pillows and comfortable beds. We enjoyed sitting and listening to the river at the back patio. Will definitely stay here again.
My husband, parents and 2 small children were left stranded after driving into town to a home we reserved a month ahead of time and found another family in the home. The owner and VRBO really had to excuse or additional homes to place us as it was a holiday weekend. So we were forced to drive to a hotel an hour away, wasting food that we packed and losing precious vacation time with the family.
Our family, had a wonderful stay. My son was able to ride his bike around the neighborhood discovering turkeys and peacocks walking around. My daughter completely enjoyed the backyard with the river right there. The house was warm and comfortable. Location is great, super close to the National Park. Host was a great help and friendly. We thank you for our family forever memories.
Very comfortable! Everything youâd need in a kitchen and guest room. The home is lovely and we could hear the creek flow. We saw deer and wild turkeys! It was a relaxing weekend đ
Great stay super spacious home the sound of the creek flowing was super relaxing. Beds are super comfy. Kitchen has everything you need. Would love to come back
Great location, the area was quiet except for the babbling brook and birds that we enjoyed from the back deck, which had both sun and shade. The kitchen had water, coffee and snacks - thank you!
I have to give a mixed review, since the location and comfort were very good, and we enjoyed our experience with Sequoia National Park. The property could use some repairs, however, especially the shower water control, which had a paper instruction, that didn't work. So we only had one working shower. Also the fan control in the master bedroom did not work, and the electric outlets did not support the modern chargers. Also the grill control didn't work, and the grill needed cleaning. I left a list of improvements for the host. Overall did enjoy our stay very much.
My husband and I have a 3 year old boy and our friends have a 1 year old girl. This house and property were very child friendly (including a large lego set) and no breakable relics lying within reach. The entire house is carpeted so we did put a towel under the kids when eating meals. The three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms came in handy with 4 adults and a potty training 3 year old. The mosquito net could use replacing on the deck as there were a ton of mosquitoes so we generally stayed inside (it was also a heat wave and over 100 degrees the whole time) Kitchen was great for cooking large family meals, couch was super comfy for nap time and the bonus was an arcade game in the 3rd bedroom with Pac man and Galaga. The house has 2 temperature sets (one for the living room and and one for the bedrooms) which was awesome that we could keep part of the house cooler than the other when not in use. Only 15 minutes from the Sequoia national forest and only 2 minutes from the lake. The gentleman living next door was very kind and told us some history about the creek behind the house and the other neighbor is also a short term rental. This house is tucked away in a cute little community so there isn't a ton of traffic driving by and there is a very large driveway so no worries about the kids wandering into the street. Overall spectacular!
We had a fabulous stay here. It's right on the river and the house is very large and spacious! Lot's to do and a great location near the town and not too far from Sequoia National Forest. The turkey family visiting every morning and the deer in the backyard were also a plus. A coulple things I wish I would have known before my stay. No filtered water. The state websites state it is not safe to drink the tap water in Three Rivers, and their filtration system is not working. So we had to purchase tons on drinking water from the store. It's also a VERY old home. Lots of things need fixing and replacing. With that all being said, we would defintily still come back. We also definitely appreciate the amazing air conditioning system they had! Kept us wonderfully in 110 degree weather. Thank you!
Property was beautiful . During our stay was a heat advisory so was not able to sit outside and enjoy the deck since temperatures were 102 and 107. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
The house was spacious, listening to the river was wonderful. the beds were comfortable, but they could invest in some new pillows as they were very flat. we would rent this home again as the town offered plenty of places to eat, but i would suggest if you're going cook bring food in as the prices are very expensive in the local market.we loved that it was very close to the sequia n.p.
Our stay was amazing from start to end! Location and house was everything we dreamt of. Kids (everyone) had a wonderful and memorable time here! We will be back!
Like another reviewer mentioned, I didn't get an access code for the rental and wasn't able to get a hold of the owner through messages or by phone, so on the day of our rental, I had to call VRBO customer service. They were able to get her on the line and we cleared things up. Turns out she hasn't been reliably receiving messages through VRBO. She was very apologetic and things resolved well, but we were nervous about if we'd get in or not.
The rental is as described. It's very clean and well taken care of. My kids enjoyed the video game machine and the backyard is absolutely beautiful. Keep in mind you are only allowed to explore the river directly behind the house, as there are neighbors to either side.
The house is dated - there is carpet in 2 of the three bathrooms and some damage to the wall in the master that should be addressed. But the layout is great and the rooms are large and comfortable. It's about 20 minutes to the entrance of Sequoia National Park, which is what we were looking for.
The photos donât do justice. This place was old but beautiful. It was bigger than expected and water was flowing peacefully. We took advantage of jumping in the water and using the DVD player. Old style cabin, old movies was amazing. The host was also kind and helpful. If you book through Verbo and Expedia the number they have is incorrect. Use the app to make the call because there is a glitch messaging the host through verbo. Would definitely book with them again. We actually had stayed at their other cabin on the right side in 2020 which the river was dry but the cabin was still amazing.
Peaceful Riverfront #1 is a wonderful place, You immediately feel at home. Spacious, clean, comfortable and the back Yard with the river running along side of it is an experience of its own.
You almost don't want to leave.
The house is comfortable, aged but we didn't have any issues with the home itself. It was perfect for my family which includes two kids and my elderly parents. My issues are with the owner. I was looking at two houses in Three Rivers and picked this house specifically due to the great interactions other renters have had with her based on their reviews. Unfortunately this review section only allows 1499 characters and my situation requires more than that (the treatment and communication were that poor) but long story short, we ended up leaving a day early because the interactions or lack thereof by the owner made me uncomfortable. I showed up to a house in the process of being cleaned. I was questioned - when did I rent it? Did I rent the one story or two story? Does it have a game room? Whatâs the address? âThis house isnât being rented until Tuesdayâ. These questions were being asked of me by the cleaning lady with the owner on the phone who didnât answer my 3 previous calls. The owner mentioned that something was going on w/ Vrbo and she never got the notice that I rented the property. She was aware the Friday before (because I had to call for the entry code) we were to arrive (Sunday), however between Friday and Sunday she apparently did nothing to figure out the discrepancy. By Tuesday, I was so worried another family was going to show up, we decided to leave.
I cherish the little time I get to spend with my parents and this trip left me regretful and disappointed.
Thank you for sharing your home with us. Our stay was so relaxing & comfortable. Your property is so beautiful & the view is Amazing. We made wonderful memories & would love to stay again.
Thank you,
The Whitlow's
We enjoyed the house. We ate in and we ate out. The kitchen has everything you need and a good supply of seasonings. We did no do any grilling, so didnât check that out. In town our two favorites were River View restaurant and Reinerâs candy and ice cream shop. Due to the unusual winter weather we werenât able to play or fish in the river, too much rushing water. Sequoia National Park was only open a short way into the park. We went as far as we could and enjoyed some of the hikes.mostly we relaxed. After a stressful year the relaxation was what we really wanted. The back deck and backyard were great places to read books and take in the river. Inside was comfortable in the AC. It was very safe and enjoyable to walk through the neighborhood. There was no problem contacting the owner and the caretaker. They were both great.
