« There was a situation where I was followed by someone on a morning walk nearby the hotel and as soon as I entered the hotel and asked for them to help me, the 2 men at the front desk quickly helped by one going outside to find the man and one immediately calling the police. I felt safe and cared for and although Portland has some bad eggs roaming around I would stay here again because of how safe and cared for the staff made me feel. « Very easy to check in, the room was clean and cozy, the common areas were also very cozy and well-stocked with everything you could need, especially the kitchen. The restaurant next door was a bit loud at peak time of the evening, but that quieted down by the time we wanted to sleep and from then on it was nice and quiet. « We came to the Royal Sonesta last minute after a very bad experience at another hotel in town and they were perfect. The front desk was very helpful in getting our room arranged and explaining the details. The room was large and clean, very fun designs and worked great. The bed was by far the best bed I've ever slept in at a hotel in my life and made the entire stay worth it.
