« We had us a wonderful time at the Riverside Stable Cottage, which looks very nice, is very comfortable and also clean. The countryside out there is beautiful and so is the view from the cottage itself. Inside the cottage everything we needed was provided for which made it a perfectly relaxing stay. Communication with owner Simon went smoothly; he answered all questions we had promptly. Whenever we're around Maidstone again, we'd love to come back to the Riverside Stable Cottage! »

« We enjoyed 8 nights in this terrace house in Tenterden in late May 2025. It is well placed both within easy walking distance of the town’s restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions, and close driving distance to several villages and significant destinations such as Sissinghurst Castle, Dover and the coast. « Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. »

« A lovely centrally located property which is full of character, from the compact courtyard seating area which was a lovely sun trap in the late afternoons, to the spacious living area and comfortable bedrooms. The host was very attentive and provide comprehensive welcome information and assistance throughout the stay. The town itself is lovely - we wished we could have stayed longer! »

« We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. « We stayed at Buttercup Cottage for four nights. It is located 5 mins drive from Rye town centre in a quiet, private location with allocated parking. The studio is spacious and the facilities are excellent for self-catering. We also ate twice at Layla's, a turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended.
