We spent a whole month in Ortigia and the property was exactly as advertised, clean, renovated and with an amazing view and location. At least during low season, parking was very easy to find (without charge) across the bridge in Syracuse (less than 5' walk). The apt location is in the perfect spot to wander around this beautiful island and also close to the market where fresh vegetables and seafood could be purchased daily.But what really made the difference for us was the host. Maria Teresa was always very responsive, helpful and with excellent information about the area, restaurants, sites to visit and shops. Always ready to help. I'd really recommend this property without any hesitation

What an exceptional apartment… superbly maintained with absolutely everything you could ever need & many things you wouldn’t think you need! Such a calm place to return to after a day of sightseeing or wandering on beautiful Ortigia. I loved having breakfast on balcony watching the boats & life starting everyday. Maria Theresa was an exceptional host providing clear instructions, advice & excellent communication both before and during our stay.Best place we have ever stayed.

What a stylish, comfortable and well located apartment this is. The view from the balcony is sensational and the beautiful decor makes the apartment feel like a home away from home. Perfect Apartment, location, facility and host

We stayed in this perfect apartment for the month of February. On occasion, we needed Maria Teresa's help, and she was always ready and able to assist. What a sweet efficient host! This location was near the bridges to Syracuse and 4 blocks from a free parking lot beside the elegant "Ortea Palace" Hotel. If you find one of those, hang on tight. We were 2 or 3 blocks from either the open market or the big marina, yet right on the canal separating the island and a few blocks to main Shopping Streets, restaurants, and the two major Piazzas. Nothing is far on this island. You can have coffee out your front door and pizza out your back window. The rooms are quite large, well appointed with elegant high ceilings and everything is totally modern. The lack of a washer and drying is no problem with an inexpensive full-service laundry one block away. There were plenty of English language choices on the TV for the late evening or early morning news. But you are in the best part of Sicily, so why sit in the house? Maria even has a domestic who will spend three hours cleaning the place for a price that is so sinfully inexpensive that you must give her a big tip.

Hidden November Gem

Ortigia in November was magical and this suite is meticulous. Every detail was thought of. Enjoying wine while sitting on the balcony wrapped up the nights perfectly. The host helped us with additional travel questions when I had emails in Italian I couldn’t make sense of. Her recommendations abound… we are hesitant to share how perfect this was in the “off” season as we want to save it for ourselves.

Perfect apartment in Syracuse

The apartment was great. Very comfortable, spacious and with a beautiful view. Location is great too, close to the centre and all the best restaurants. We had a car with us and initially were concerned about parking, driving and ZTL areas. Everything worked out incredibly smooth. The host registered us for a day of our arrival so we could unload our bags. Afterwards we parked across the st Lucia bridge on the mainland, 10 min walk from the apartment. Very easy and convenient. If we are ever back in this amazing town, the best in Sicily, we would definitely stay there again. OK, I will suggest one small change: The kitchen needs lids for the pots and a spatula. Then it would be well equipped.

Close to paradise

Not only was this a beautiful apartment with beautiful furnishings in a beautiful setting, but it was also the most completely equipped rental I have ever encountered: bicycle helmets and pump, shopping cart, first aid kit, spices and condiments, dog bed and food bowls, endless recommendations- I could go on and on. Maria Teresa is a fabulous and accommodating host. I was so sorry to leave.

Amazing Air B&B

Truly am amazing Air B& B Maria is a 5 Star Super Host. Met us on arrival - gave us all the info we needed for our 6 day vacation in beautiful Ortigia. Superb Property, Superb Host!

Suite 18 is an amazing, spacious, contemporary apartment in a perfect location for exploring the stunning island of Ortigia and the wider area. The property is beautifully furnished and fully equipped and has a lovely homely feel from the second you walk through the front door. One of the highlights is the balcony overlooking the harbour which is perfect for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch or a sunset dinner and which floods the apartment with light and a cool sea breeze. The quality of the property is mirrored by the quality of the host, Maria, who was simply exceptional. Both before and during our stay, Maria was on hand to provide us with everything we needed to know, including lots of recommendations for cultural attractions, cafes, bars, restaurants, beaches, parking, etc. This lady really cares about Sicily, Ortigia and her apartment and goes above and beyond to maximise the enjoyment of her guests. Without doubt, the very best host we’ve encountered anywhere on our travels. The only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Amazing Appartment

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. It was a complete sanctuary from the heat and crowds of lively Siracusa. Excellent location on the beautiful island of Ortigia. Just about perfect

Stay here if you’re going to Ortigia. It’s just that simple. The apartment is in a great location. It’s spotless and modern. Has two nice full bathrooms. Pretty view of the marina. The owner Maria Teresa meets you at the apartment and explains everything fully, along with recs on restaurants, attractions, etc. She lives offsite but responds quickly to any queries.

Great apartment on a great island

Suite 18 is a beautiful, well appointed apartment on an island designed for passegiarre. It is located near markets and restaurants so you can easily eat in or dine out. Maria Teresa is a font on knowledge on the island and the area. She even found a plumber to fix a broken toilet on a Sunday night! Highly recommended.

The apartment is wonderful. The super high ceilings are beautiful. The view of the Marina is very pleasant. The kitchen is well equipped, especially if you like to cook, as we do. Local indoor and outdoor markets are close and provide all types of fish, meats, and vegetables. Maria Teresa is one of the best hosts we’ve ever encountered. She made all aspects of our two week stay great.

Suite 18 is a fabulous apartment with all necessary amenities. The balcony was a perfect spot to have breakfast and afternoon wine while appreciating the wonderful view. It was in a great location near to everything putting you in the heart of Ortigia. Nearby is a laundry who will same day wash and fold your clothes for you . Maria was a very helpful host with lots of useful information. Parking was a bit tricky but Maria was very helpful with that. Our only regret was that we didn’t book a longer stay.
