Excellent place for our family Labor Day weekend with our children and grandchildren. The walk to the beach was long, but the great ocean view and great pool made up for it.

Short fall break

Beautiful location, house had everything we needed. Unfortunately the walkway to the beach had standing water so the mosquitos were bad but to be expected with wet weather. Plenty of rooms and the pool was great!

Great location and views!

The property was exactly as listed and featured incredible views of the ocean from the back decks. The pool was a standout and the kitchen was fully stocked, made cooking for multiple families a breeze! There was some mold on the bathroom ceilings and fans but assumed that came from the hurricane moisture that came through the previous week. If that was cleaned, we’d definitely stay again.

Lovely Home and Area

The house, property and view is beautiful. There was plenty of room to spread out, 8 adults and 4 children. The kitchen had all the cookware, silverware, baking supplies that you might need. Plenty of space in the kitchen area and island. We sat a lot outside as the covered upper deck had a nice ocean breeze and nice seating.The pool is wonderful and plenty of beach chairs and toys. Gas grill and covered lower deck by the pool was great.Only disappointment was the 5 minute hike to the beach that included going down steps that was not easy for beach carts or for seniors. After the gazebo, there was a natural path that led you to sand dunes that you had to climb over to get to the beautiful private beach. Worth the trip but we thought the walk to the beach would be easier. The gated community is beautiful and private. We had a great family get together.

Gorgeous Stay but Spotty Internet

We had a fantastic stay! The house is exactly as pictured. We cooked a lot during our stay and felt the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. We stayed with a group of family, all adults, and thought this was the perfect place for a serene beach week. We loved cocktails in the tall Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the ocean. It is a long, hot walk to the beach, but you will have the whole beach to yourself once you get there. We also loved that there was a large umbrella hanging over the pool that allowed for lazy pool time with shade! Management was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Our one complaint was that the internet was very spotty and unreliable. Several of us had remote work meetings during our stay. We all ended up using our phones as hot spots because you could not get through an hour long meeting without the internet connection failing. Hopefully they will look into upgrading the internet, but if you are planning to work while you are there, be prepared for connection issues.

Great Time at Genuine!

Three generations of our family stayed at this lovely house on Holden Beach. Size, amenities, and location were all perfect!! The pool was great, and the walk to the beach was an adventure! We took advantage of the pickleball and tennis courts as well as the pool at the recreation center and all were very well maintained. Communication with management was quick and courteous. Although we’ve never booked the same beach house twice, we are planning a return trip to Genuine! It was terrific!

A really nice home with plenty of space for the family

We had our family come in from all over the country to celebrate Papa's 80th Birthday. With 6 Bedrooms and 5 Baths it was perfect for our needs on a long weekend. It is in a BEAUTIFUL location with a short walk through the dunes to the beach. Well appointed (Beachy) with comfy furniture and dining areas that accommodated our whole gang. Due to it's location close to the ocean, it is raised up so there are many stairs but we managed. We loved it!!!

Quick Beach trip for family and friends to a beautiful house in a beautiful location. Pretty real over the low dunes. Lots of wildlife (deer, birds, butterflies). Pool was perfect! So many helpful touches!

Great house, leave your wagon at home!

We had our 16 member family at this beautiful house for a week! From 1 month old to 62 years! Great kitchen, bedrooms could hold 2 pack-n-plays, we made 1 big kitchen table vs 2! The pool was fabulous! The management group was very responsive with the few questions we had! The walk to the beach was tough for the folks who had little ones… you can’t pull a wagon because of the many sets of stairs and then dunes. We made it work, but that’s the only thing that made it a bit tough. The Spectrum internet was sporadic, but not the fault of the house. The large beach felt very private! The neighborhood was so beautiful, quiet, up-scale, houses were generously separated, we had spectacular views, and we felt very safe for our teenagers to walk around and go play volleyball at the community center up the road. Every morning and evening a family of deer greeted us outside the fence!!

Everything about this house and rental process is great! Beautiful house big enough to accommodate two families, heated pool is great in case ocean is too cold for kids, and due to the location on Holden Beach this basically has a private beach since it is far away from public beach access. Communication and attentiveness from renter was also great.

Loved the location and property. The beach is a good two or three-minute walk through a forested path and sand dunes. We are healthy so that wasn't a problem for our family. The kitchen is well supplied so we could cook all our meals at home and it is located on the third level so there is a lovely view of the ocean. Plenty of seating for all. The kitchen table needs a cover (the surface has a sticky finish), but all else is comfortable and reasonable for the price. We enjoyed the heated private pool and the beach supplies and the outdoor shower. Would definitely stay again!
