« I like supporting "local" when I can. This place is way different than corporate chain-style lodging venues. It has character. Friendly hosts and a nice facility with a "vintage" feel - hey, after all it's part of their name! Although my room was on the small side, it had everything I needed and nothing I didn't - it was clean, nicely decorated in a rustic style that was just plain comfy. « Boy, does this place take me back to my childhood when places like this were the norm. A cute, little roadside motel that was so common in the 1960s/70s, before the generic and bland chain hotels took over. Though dated (obviously), the room was clean and comfortable. The service was very good and the one staff member that checked me in was friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the "throwback" feel of this place, and felt a real sense of nostalgia staying there. « I stay at the Lakeview quite often to visit a relative in nursing care in Willmar. Everyone there is friendly, extremely helpful. The cost of a room is lower than others in area. They make me feel at home . »
