Cottages in Stroud

'The house lies behind other houses but is, I think, only a few years old. The atmosphere of the hous is very nice and in the kitchen there is enough of everything (i.e. 12 knifes in stead of 4 because it is a 4 person house).. The shower is fabulous.. The supermarket is only a 2 minute walk away.'

'This property was in the middle of town and very cute. It had everything we needed. Only caution: this is not small kid friendly (very steep stairs and rocks) and not ADA or for older people. But perfect for fit and mobile folks. The price was great value!'

'The cottage is very nice and has all you need for a pleasant stay. In case you need something and/or want some ideas what to do/where to go, Tichy ( Patricia) and Richard are ready to help. But the best thing about this cottage is it's LOCATION : starting from the cottage you can start kicking, cycling and you can visit a lot of little beautifull little towns, castles/mannors, gardens, ... after only a 30 min. drive. Oxford, Blenheim, the birthplace of Shakespeare, ... are within a 60 min....

'Chapel Cottage is a spacious but cozy quaint home that is incredibly convenient to nearby county sites, villages, gardens and museums.Sophia and Hugh were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed several conversations when we just happened to be out in the adjoining gardens at the same time. The cottage kitchen is well stocked for cooking and many DVDs, books, and games are available.We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would not hesitate to rent Chapel Cottage again.'

'Met fantastic expectations. Away from the hustle and bustle within the Cotswolds, yet close enough to visit the AONB. Great neighbors and neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. View was charming.'

'Lovely property just a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the water, though beware there is a very steep hill to climb when walking back. Very spacious. Lounge and open plan kitchen could do with a bit of an update. Fabulous views across the country side and so many different species of birds to view from the very large window in the lounge. Owners very kindly left binoculars and a bird book. Extremely quiet setting. Stayed Friday to Monday and it was a really lovely break. '

'We had an absolutely magical weekend in the Cotswalds. The property is perfect and exactly as described. Check in and check out were effortless, and the host was immediately responsive, even though Europe was in the midstate Verizon data glitch. It’s a short, beautiful stroll to Stow-on-wald and we spent a spectacular afternoon trekking to Bourton-on-the-water.
