A Little Slice of Heaven on The Waupaca Chain O'Lakes

  • This property is on beautiful Taylor Lake in Waupaca, Wisconsin. The cabin has a recently updated interior and exterior. The cabin has central air. The cottage sits 60 feet from the water and the views of the lake are great. The frontage doesn't allow for swimming but a quick kayak or paddleboard trip will get you to a beautiful sandbar.
    The property is next door to the boat launch on Taylor Lake so the weekends can be busy. Enjoy a day boating, paddle boarding, canoeing, etc., there is so much to see and do on the Waupaca Chain. A firepit is available for having a campfire at night. There are two wonderful restaurants within a short drive/boat. Harbor Bar has great food and live music and The Wheelhouse is known for their wonderful pizza. Behind the wheelhouse is the infamous "Scoopers" and has the best ice cream in town. Nothing cools the sunburn like a fresh scoop of Scoopers Ice Cream. Tom Thumb mini golf is also a short boat/drive away and is a great time for the kids. Waupaca has everything you would need as far as grocery and stores and the hub is only 2-3 miles from the cabin.

First time visit to the chain o'lakes and we loved it! It was so fun to be able to walk to the darling village of King but also enjoyed the ease of this VRBO with the ability to use the pontoon boat at our leisure. We will definitely be returning!

Smilin’ Despite the Rain

Though we had far more rain and clouds than sun, we found our stay on Taylor Lake relaxing and enjoyable. Our home away from home was clean, comfortable and equipped with all we needed to make the most of this lakeside retreat. Our host was available to answer all our questions and even called to check that all was well. A Little Slice of Heaven is truly that!

Great Place

If you're looking for over the top luxury this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for what the chain is meant to be this is the place. Great location, view, and everything you need for a cabin vacation on the lake. I have been coming to the chain my entire life and this house has the exact same feel as my family's old house(still on McCrossen). I would highly recommend staying here if your idea of a chain/lake vacation is 90% outdoors with easy access to the water.

Overall stay

Location was great and being able to rent the boat was a huge plus. Was disappointed that we had to make the beds and cobwebs all over the house and that they didn't provide bath towels or mention to bring any. Also didn't enjoy his friend stopping over twice to get something from the garage.

Cozy cottage feel.

Worked great for two families. The owner rented us a pontoon boat and he was easily accessible to answer any questions. Perfect weekend for us. This place has a great view of the harbor bar and includes being able to hear late night music from there (if desired) or close the windows and enjoy great air conditioning. Also, the big paddle boat going passed a few times a day is nice also.

Needs repair

Needs repair! Hot water to hot! Grill did not work ! No towels tefflon frying pans have teffon coming off! Carpet old and has a tear in it! Cable TV at night keeped going off and had to wait for it to come back on! Brain did get us a new grill and had the hot ter fixed but all this should have been check on when the cabin ws cleaned!

Cute Cabin - Perfect Location

We rented this property to spend quality time with family and this cute little cottage was perfect! During our stay, we had an issue with the air conditioning and Grant exceeded our expectations with both communication and resolution of the concern. If you are looking for a place to lay your head while enjoying your days out on the water, this place is great! Not to mention, we were able to rent a boat from Grant that was waiting for us at the cottage. Convenience was a reoccurring theme the entire week!
