Blokhutten in Sterlington

'Reserved 3 nights in July. The inn was picked for close location to St Francis Hospital since my father was passing away & it was last minute (non-refundable). I asked the mgr/owner to switch rooms for a nonsmoking one since on Exepdia it was a smoking one. I have a lung illness. The office accommodated me & said it was more money for that. I gave him my card to charge & he said that he doesn't do credit cards. Between my family, we collected cash to pay for it. We asked if we could...

'There was what appeared to be a bullet hole in the headboard of the bed.... there was a bad smell in the lobby and hallways... the AC leaked water, so the carpet around the bed was wet.'

'When booking with Expedia, it listed that there was a free breakfast. There was brother we were able to purchase, and the staff serving was very nice, food good, but was a little pricey for breakfast. Thanks'

'The room was clean, with the exception of the shower curtain, it had mold on the bottom and needed to be washed or replaced. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable and location was good. We had a good night’s sleep. The staff was friendly. Only stayed one night traveling cross country, The free breakfast was limited, but enjoyed the waffles, otherwise the offerings were minimal (packaged pastries, cereal, waffles - no fruit or yogurt, and the coffee creamer was powdered - yuk!). But for one...

'Hallway carpets were rundown and smelled. Room also was rundown- carpets, walls, etc. It had an odor, bathroom floor was sticky and had hair in the shower. The hotel desperately needs updating. Not worth the price.'
