Business can be a pleasure at the tree house in Spicewood Texas
The house was very nice, clean the views were wonderful from every room there was a lot of privacy within the house & decks the way the house is laid out so we could all come together to work but yet still have our own sanctuary to unwind in. The only negative about the entire place is the very steep long driveway not only difficult to walk just to the car but impossible for some to navigate. Not fun with a loaded vehicle. Have to put it in low gear to even get up driveway.
We rented the place to celebrate my husbandâs 50th birthday. It has a beautiful lake view. The place was very welcoming. It was clean and stacked with toiletries and kitchen utensils and appliances. There was big tv and music system. The only sad part was that we could not make
Overall it was a beautiful house and we enjoyed every bit of time that we spent there and made some beautiful memories.
The place is lovely, in a great location by the lake & in the trees. Booked it to have a little staycation & tour some vineyards close by. My family & I loved the stay. Everything was great when it came to the house besides the cleanliness. There were spider webs everywhere & multiple stains on the carpet.
The home feels very light and airy. The layout of the space is really beautiful and the land you are surrounded by gives off so much peace and solice. I recommend experiencing this lovely home if you have an opportunity. You will enjoy it whole heartedly. My family will cherish the memories we made for the rest of our lives.
The home was beautiful just like the listing. We loved the location and it was spacious for our family gathering. The views were beautiful and we had a wonderful time during our stay. We would definitely book again. Thank you for having us.
Had to contact property manager as there were many problems.
Water pressure too low. A/C could not keep property cool.
Vacasa employee Kelly promised to determine a refund of some of the cost of rentingl this house. BUT HAS NOT FOLLOWED UP. I cannot recommend this house to anyone until many issues are addressed.
Worse property I have stayed at.
Not only did we celebrate my boyfriendâs 40th birthday, but we also got engaged! It was perfect for our close family and friends. It reminded me of a weekend on the lake when I was growing up! It was the perfect house for the perfect weekend. A bit weathered but it had an old campy feel, and it definitely brought us all back to our late 80âs, esrly 90âs childhood vacations! The house slept everyone perfectly and was the perfect space for entertainment! We will be back! I hope to do this year after year! Such an unforgettable trip.
We had a great visit and would stay again. The driveway is very steep which could be a problem for some people. The stairs to the water access are also steep and numerous. The living areas are very roomy and most household items are provided. We had no issue with towels but we found blankets to be limited. There was no blanket on our master bed other than the quilt that I would not normally sleep with. The water pressure was great even with 16 of us. The fridge is big and there is plenty storage for a longer stay. Life vests ,a kayak and a canoe were also available. We really couldn't use this feature due to weather. Oh and there are board games and access to ROKU streaming. The internet was strong for all of us. Teens really need the wifi!
Now on to the negative. When we arrived there was gum stuck to the wall and the carpet was stained heading down stairs to the lowest floor. The stain isn't that big of an issue except I wish it was noted already so we didn't have to worry about it. The listing states there is a king bed but it is actually queen. Also, the beds are very very very hard and need replacing or some sort of mattress pad. I also believe there should be one more twin in the master or a fold out bed in there. We had in laws which created a weird sleeping arrangement since some kids didn't want to share beds with kids they don't know that well. The propane grill needs a lot of cleaning. The grease literally caught fire while cooking burgers. There were two scorpions in one of the bedrooms and lots of spider webs on all the windows. I don't know if this is because of COVID or not, but I do wish salt pepper and sugar were provided. There is no Keurig machine and the blender did not work. Our rental host was speedy about providing a propane refill for the grill. We wound up not using it after fearing a fire would start. We cooked the rest inside after that. Lastly, I was very disappointed with the lack of weed eating or trimming back the pathway to the water. There were thorn bushes that needed to be cut out of the way and the canoe was full of water. There was also trash along the hillside. I am sure that is from other renters or the wind but it was sad to look at. All in all, I'd stay again. The views are worth it.
We loved being able to walk to the lake and go on the canoe.
The balcony off the living room was very relaxing. The community pool by the entrance of the neighborhood was best for our larger group because it did not have too many houses around it.
Although the house has sleeping arrangements for 16+ people, majority of them are bunk beds and more accommodating to kids than couples (we had 6 couples in our group)!
We found lots of cob webs (with spiders) around the window seals upon our arrival, which was surprising for a house that had been cleaned just before our arrival. In addition, there were several broken pieces of furniture (ladder to one of the bunks and two fans in the balcony) which did not give a good first impression of this house. The worse part was seeing a rat in the house and following him/her to a hole inside the pantry!
Nice comfortable home that slept all 13 of us. We were here celebrating my daughterâs graduation from college. The driveway was the only challenge we had in this home. We have a 14 foot trailer with motorbikes behind our truck end it is doable. The young adults 22 and up were challenged by the steepness of the driveway. Thank you
Great place. Lots of room to move around. Clean on the inside. Outside could use some refurbishing but certainly not a deal breaker. Lake Travis is very low so the water that would normally be near the house is about 150 yards away. Beware that the driveway is the steepest slope Iâve ever seen. Donât even know how they got the concrete slab to stay level. Could be very dangerous if itâs wet but you can park on the street at the top.
Only complaint was that there were several overflowing full trash cans left from the previous stay and were never emptied during our two days there. Maybe it was a holiday when we stayed?
Overall, a very nice and quiet place to relax.
