'We were in Ortono for one night and this was a great place to stay. The room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Benjamin was very helpful at check-in and recommended a good local restaurant. The breakfast exceeded expectations. Plenty of fruit, yogurt, pastries and coffee. '

Other times we drove to town. Also there is a big shopping center - Iper where you can find anything. Town and Iper are both about a 5 min drive. Also nice the Calachiara has off street parking. 'Had a great 2-day stay in this small hotel. The hotel is right in the city centre, conveniently located very near the main shopping area and the beach. Room was modern and clean. A bit small but not uncomfortably so. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, fresh bacon and eggs were made by request on the spot. Little extras like a complimentary drink on the first night and free water bottles made the stay that much better.'

Location is in a sort of industrial area but rental bikes (5 € per day) are provided so you can cycle to town and to the sea in about 15-30 minutes. The room I got was not the one that I had booked, but it was ok. The service was good and friendly. Breakfast was available 24x7 and was ok, but almost everything was wrapped in individual plastic packaging, I would have appreciated a much lower usage of plastic packaging and...
