'I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southaven, Mississippi over the weekend and had a great experience overall. I spoke with Marshall Collins, the front desk supervisor, and she was absolutely awesome. The front desk staff were also very helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. Housekeeping was excellent. 'The staff was not interested in their guests - they did not even great back their guests on their way to breakfast. The room (number 119) smelled of urine, furniture and carpet were torn, there was mold in the bathroom and the sofa was only suitable for 2 persons instead of more. I made a lot of pictures to send to the Marriot management. The room is for disabled people. It is certain someone had a little accident or a few more. At check-out I told staff to deep clean the room for the urine...

'It wasn't made clear to me that there was no breakfast, nor was it pet-friendly! I checked out and checked into the Residence right across the lot. It cost me a little more but I didn't have much choice because I had 2 rooms and had to make sure my guest were comfortable with their stay.'

However, I would have appreciated knowing ahead of time that the hotel was undergoing renovations, as this impacted the experience more than expected.
