Camp Amnicon was really convenient for packing up my sonâs dorm in Duluth and then spending a couple days enjoying nature without having to pack or do too much on top of that.
Very cozy and cute cabin. There are 6 basically identical cabins on site, this was in one row and the 3rd of 3 with the other 3 being down a different path. That meant that no other people staying there had reason to wander past our location. The staff onsite were responsive. The toaster oven is very small. Half the size of most rectangle air fryers. It says Duluth is 44 minutes away. It is much closer! Superior is only a short drive. There is little to no cell service. Text messages need to be sent a few times often. You can stream spotify, but a facebook page can take 30 seconds to a minute to pull up. Very much worth every penny. It is rustic. It is also nice to have showers on site. Would certainly stay here again.
I was looking to distress, unwind, and relax in quite semi off grid place. They came through, it was a short 2 minute walk for parking the car to the cabin. Yet the location of cabin was secluded enough, you felt like you walked 10 minutes into the woods! The cabin was small and cozy, and very nice fireplace that did its job well. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a little frig to put my food in and a coffee pot for my morning caffeine. I took the trail from lodge to the private beach, it was so worth trudging snow, then came back along river. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed, I will definitely be staying again.
Everything was as advertised. Watch the video provided. Cabin felt bigger than expected. New and nice! Beds comfortable. Amenities are compact but adequate.
Well worth the price! Outhouse is heated if you plan ahead (switch inside). Porcupine trail was a blast and the beach is very nice. 15-20 minutes if you take your time. Hot showers and flush toilets just a 1 minute walk. This particular cabin is the last of three identical cabins in a row and is down a bit of a hill. Pick Gratitude if you don't walk to cart all your stuff down a steepish hill. Wasn't a big deal. Cabin was warm and quite. Such a pretty setting. Host was kind and helpful if you needed more water or anything. Part of a beautiful Bible and adventure camp. Very nice. :-) Would definitely return!
Great stay, love this little retreat! There are groups of kids but we had no issues and had no one walk past the solitude cabin. Has electricity and a outhouse. This is a wooded area so expect bugs and everything else that goes with nature. Check in was literally you just grab a cart and walk to your cabin, there is no formal check in. Also solitude does not have phone reception, so prepare for that as well if you are someone who needs it.

Amazing property that was well kept. The facilities were clean and very hospitable. Only downfall was some trails were overgrown. Perfect for the family!
There is too much overgrowth of weeds in the property that it is difficult to completely access the fire pit. There is only access through one side because of all the overgrowth. Too many mosquitos and ticks outside more than what I expected.
Property is well maintained. Very peaceful and quiet. This is a great location for anyone who is all about the outdoors and like to hike. Being so close to Lake Superior and Amnicon River is a plus too.
We really loved staying a couple nights in the cabin. Just enough amenities and it was super cozy. Highlights were the fire pit, big windows to watch the sunrise, and trails to the water.
It's cold out but the outhouse has a heater that you can start from inside the cabin! We also stayed nice and toasty inside with the gas fireplace.
Absolutely my favorite spot to get out of the city. Cutest little cabins with just the right amount of amenities. Incredibly accommodating and helpful hosts. HIGHLY recommend.
This was a perfect spot for our small family. The cabin was everything we expected. The kitchenette was great. Half an hour from Duluth made it easy to go into town to explore. We also enjoyed the hiking. Weâll be back to enjoy the shoreline on Lake Superior next time.
