Skipton heeft vele attracties voor de bezoeker: een prachtig kasteel, aantrekkelijke hoofdstraat met markt, en een fijne selectie van kwaliteitswinkels en restaurants, zwembad, tennisbanen en een pitch & putt-baan. Perfect location, everything you needed was provided and more. Impressive welcome basket to start your stay with. Will definitely come back when in the area, if I'm lucky enough for it to be available.

Lovely clean cottage with a really nice welcome pack, about a 5 minute walk into town where there are lots of pubs and resturants, lovely little bar next to the canal, parking was abit tight and reversing out was tricky but manageable, Could of done with a small hand basin in the toilet so you dont have to go along the landing to the bathroom to wash your hands and maybe a shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries on, bit tricky trying to balance a bar of soap on the side of a roll top bath.

Despite the effects of Covid on what the owners could supply within the cottage, we were very comfortable and did not really feel that we were missing on anything. The location is close to the town centre and Skipton is a lovely town to visit and stay in, with the canal and canal boats, castle, good range of eating places, etc. A very lovely stay. Loved this typical yorkshire house.

Loved this typical yorkshire house. It was lovely and comfy. The kitchen was really well equipped. It was near enough to the town centre to walk everywhere. The house was in a quiet situtation with views to the front over the girls grammar school.

We found Skipton a great place from where to reach the Yorkshire Dales, and Hollinwood a very comfor

We found Skipton a great place from where to reach the Yorkshire Dales, and Hollinwood a very comfortable place to stay. The house is located in a nice part of town, but there are few local amenities in the immediate vicinity, and a walk into town (not onerous) is required for pubs, shops etc. Furnishings in the house are a little antiquated, but the beds are comfortable and the heating system works well. The galley kitchen is a bit cramped, especially when more than one of us was trying to cook dinner! Overall, the house was perfect for our needs.

This cottage was well equipped for our family (2 adults and 2 children) and well located for visiting places of interest in the local area. There is good WiFi Freesat TV as and a selection of DVDs for those evenings in. The kitchen has everything including washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. One small niggle the beds in the twin room are a little bit uncomfortable according to one of my kids. Overall though we would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hollinwood very comfortable and homely the enclosed back Yard is very safe if you take your dog, also a lovely park nearby . A ten minute walk in to the town we would definitely have no hesitation in staying again.

Parking a problem.

Parking a problem. limited space at the back but once I had parked I did not use the car over the four days.I walked and used the Dales Bus service with my Senior Bus Pass.Ha a great time.
