The Northwoods Farmhouse has it all! The property was so clean and well maintained as well as provided everything we could want and more! The location was perfect and we will definitely be coming back!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The check in process was a breeze, and they even programmed the door lock to be the last 4 digits of my cell. phone. House was thoroughly clean, and quite ample space for the 8 of us. Coffee bar in the kitchen was awesome, and great TV in the Great Room just off the kitchen. Everyone commented on their bedding being very, and I mean very comfortable...especially the pillows. The outside area gave you privacy even though it was only a 1/2 mile from the center of town. Tremendous fire pit which even included wood skewers to roast marshmallows on. And the Sauna was a huge hit. At first people were reluctant to use it, although by day three, everyone was talking at least one sauna per day. Overall a fabulous stay, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Fall Babymoom

My wife and I had a fantastic time up in Sister Bay at the Northwoods Farmstead. Mitch and Katie were extremely communicative and the property was in fantastic shape. The Door county goodies were an extra special touch that made us feel all the more welcome. Check-in/out was a breeze and the location close to downtown Sister Bay was ideal, Would definitely stay again!

Amazing stay - everything we needed!!

The hosts did a fabulous job of making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay!! Everything was wonderful. The only small thing was we did hear traffic from the road at times, but the house was so awesome and everything else was so perfect, we really didn’t mind!! We had fun at the house with the games, table tennis, and horseshoes provided. Communication with the hosts was almost immediate. We all five LOVED this property- and our three dogs did too!! We absolutely want to go back and make more wonderful memories. Book this house - you will not be disappointed!

Our stay was wonderful! The house was clean, well furnished and stocked with everything you would need for the perfect stay! Checking in and out was super easy and the hosts were responsive to anything we needed! There is so much to do in Door county and we wish we could have spent more time in the home! Thank you for such a wonderful stay. This home is absolutely amazing and beautiful. The home is very private so you can relax outside around the campfire and enjoy the beauty of the night with your family. The home has a lot of extra touches and amenities inside and beautifully decorated. Mitch and Katie think of everything you may have forgotten. The home is very spacious inside and bedrooms are private. The location is perfect to daytime traveling as it is close to the popular attractions. Mitch and Katie are wonderful hosts. They are very committed to ensuring you have an excellent stay. They are very responsive with any communication needs and also provide you with information on the area and places to visit. This will be our first choice to stay if we get another opportunity to visit Door County. Highly Recommend!!!

Great time in Sister Bay!

Clean, updated and roomy for my husband and me and our three adult children and significants plus Winnie our fur grand baby. Lots of outdoor space and we could walk into town (the back way - not on the highway). And our hosts were super communicative. Will stay again if we can!

Great house in an awesome location

House is very nice, and came well-stocked with just about everything we needed (including things like board games, grill with a full tank, one fire worth of firewood, extra sheets, blankets, etc.). We only got to use the outdoor area one night because of rain, but it was an awesome space, and the garage activities were fun as a rainy night alternative. We had two families of four (kids from 3-7) -- for that size, the common spaces worked out very well, but we could have used an extra bedroom (knew that going in, obviously -- originally thought the four kids would have fun staying together in the two-bed room, but of course the kids ruined that plan...). Location worked out very well for us -- walking distance to a wine bar, about a mile from our favorite brewery in the area, and about a mile to the main drag in Sister Bay. The barn area was under renovation, but once that's done, it looks like it will be super cool. Hosts were very communicative and easy to work with, making sure we knew what to expect at every step along the way. Overall, great stay, definitely recommend it if it fits your group size.

Beautiful Farmhouse Home

We did a couples trip with three couples total and loved this home! It was very clean, decorated so quaintly with a homey farmhouse etheric, and was very comfortable! We had plenty of room. We enjoyed making dinner together in the kitchen, which had a nice selection of kitchen pots, pans, utensils, etc. We enjoyed many meals and games around the dining room table. We got the wood burner going and warmed up the living area real fast on a cold winter night. We are all looking forward to booking again later this year so we can enjoy the outside bar and fire pit!

Northwoods Farmstead - Great Space, Great Location

I've never entered a more welcoming and clean rental space. Lots of throw blankets for chilly night, coffee amenities ad fluffy towels. I was in the Sister Bay Area for my son's wedding. This place is perfectly situated for events at Northern Haus, Thyme Restaurant, and all of Sister Bay, really (Fall Fest was awesome). The furniture was comfy, too. They welcome dogs too, so that was a plus. The coffee maker went on the fritz, but Mitch was on it immediately upon my text. This is definitely on my re-rental list for Door County.

We celebrated our anniversary with family at Northwoods Farmstead in Sister Bay

Northwoods Farmstead was amazing! Our family had a great time at Northwoods Farmstead celebrating anniversaries. The house was amazing and had everything we could have needed and more. The location, near downtown, grocery store, and shops was convenient. Sometimes it's the little things; the games, the decor, the coffee and wine bar and those make-up wash cloths were the greatest : ). Mitch and Katie were great hosts! They were courteous and responsive. We were so happy to have chosen the Northwoods Farmstead for our Door County celebration!

Vacation Made Easy

Everything about the trip was easy - booking, check-in, the guidebook, and checkout. The home was simple, yet had everything we needed and more. This was by far the best stocked home we’ve ever stayed in, and we appreciated all of the extra essentials like limitless laundry pods and blankets galore! The kids loved all of the yard games and ping pong table and it was wonderful having our dogs be able to enjoy a little getaway as well!

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay! A two minute drive to Sister Bay (including the Piggly Wiggly), but actually on Hwy 57, so it was easy to take shortcuts to towns all over Door County. The property is very clean, and the hosts were very communicative. We enjoyed the ping pong table, the fire pit, and the open sky in the yard - great for skygazing. It was a little small for 10 people (although I think it would be fine if some of those people were little kids). We had teens and adults. 10 is the max they allow, so I would imagine most groups would have 6 or 8 which would be perfect. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

If I could give 6 stars I Would

This place is terrific for families…we had both our kids and their families which included two little grandkids! Super super clean…linens, towels, kitchen supplies…all top notch. remodled in Farmhouse chic…very cute….big open kitchen/ living room…perfect for hanging out..three comfy bedrooms and baths. Top notch wireless and TV’s Literally a 60 second drive to piggly wiggly and DT Sister Bay and all it has to offer…yet feels set in country…with great fire pit. The owners are super responsive….love this place….doubt I would ever stay anywhere else when visiting Door County with a family!

We loved the house. It suited our needs perfectly and was VERY clean. We had everything we needed there and nicely organized. The coffee bar was very nice and well stocked. We had not one complaint about the property!!!

Absolutely Lovely Home!

Our family pretty much hibernated here for nearly a week after the holidays. The property's location makes it a quick ride to water views, restaurants, the Piggly Wiggly, or a hike in Peninsula State Park. We like to cook and the kitchen has everything you could need. The beds/linens are super comfy, the bathrooms and towels are beautiful, and this home could NOT have been cleaner upon our arrival. We made a last-minute reservation at this VRBO and appreciated how easy it was to include our dog (who enjoyed running around in the attached/heated garage while we played ping-pong). Mitch and Katie obviously take great care of their property and seem to truly enjoy their hosting responsibilities. They are attentive, friendly, and easy to reach. We really enjoyed our time here.

This is a great place for your group to visit Door County. The location is great, only a mile from Sister Bay. Hosts where super helpful with recommendations and quick responses for any questions that came up. Would visit again!

Perfect location - Perfect booking

Door County is my favorite vacation getaway. Great activities, great food, relaxed atmosphere and very friendly. My brother and sister in-law live in Sister Bay and we visit as often as possible. This booking was minutes away (walking distance) from their home and downtown Sister Bay. The booking was exactly as shown, it was perfect (as if it was home) everything you would want, clean, spacious, comfortable and cozy. We had a day planned when extended family came over and all had the best time because we utilized this wonderful booking to its fullest. We hosted our brother & sister in-laws and their family from Naperville IL ( there daughters family of 5) my family of 6 and our pet Palmer. We played ping-pong, horseshoes, gathered in the house for food (cooked on grill supplied) and beverages with comfort and had great time talking, We gathered outside at the fire pit in very comfortable Adirondack chairs, the outside bar was a wonderful gathering place, drinks and conversation.. The outdoor lights were auto on and off. Everyone enjoyed their time spent there. I will and did recommend this booking. The host (Mitch & Katie) are available at anytime for anything, This booking has so much more then listed in this review. Best stay in Suster Bay.

Girls Weekend

This was one of the nicest VRBOs I have stayed at. Everything was quality-the towels were plush, bedding was nice, beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We didn't have to go buy dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc. It was cozy and the location was perfect. I will recommend to anyone I know visiting the area. Thanks for making our stay so pleasurable.
