« Lovely setting with some great architecture. Friendly family run hotel but somewhat tired in places.
Disappointed by the most bizarre room which had a full size stainless steel kitchen segregating a reasonably nice bedroom from the large but rather odd bathroom (which also housed the wardrobe). Had its own ‘orangery’ and small garden.
Loads of blinds to close, some of which were broken and the orangery outer doors had no blinds. Open plan so couldn’t make it completely dark… luckily had my eye...

« The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. The bedding and towels were lovely and soft and smelt nice and the bed was very comfy. It was close to Hornsea and a large Tesco. I would...

« Room was lovely and clean and plenty or space. Staff on reception very helpful and nice.
Only small downside was it would be good to put in the description that the parking area is tight and it was a bit of a struggle parking a larger car »

« The Arms is a beautiful hotel, well maintained, in great shape, lovely staff and food and a nice room. The ONLY thing I would point out is that the tv channel options were limited and as my wife and I were fresh to the timezone it would have been nice to have some more channel choices when we couldn’t sleep. »

« Seule la personne a l’enregistrement était sympa.
La nourriture est infâme les hash brown avaient un goût de rance les plats servis le soir sont immonde.
La chambre est vieille il y a des grosses traces d’humidité sur les murs et les wc étaient sales.
Le lit est la seule chose propre et confortable.
Les chambres sont mal isolées et au dessus du pub. On entend la musique du pub dans les chambres. »

« On the first night, we had a fire alarm at 3 a.m. It took the night auditor 30 minutes to turn it off. No complimentary gesture or apology was offered.
The hotel is outdated for a 4-star property. The bathroom silicone is moldy, the carpet is stained and needs a deep clean, and the room was very dusty.
The reception staff were not helpful, the phone was not working in a room so hard to get the reception.. and when the shower temperature kept going from very hot to very cold.
Coffee and tea were...

« Hotel is very modern and clean. Very easy to walk to from Hull Train Station. Have stayed here a few times now.
Less fussed about our afternoon tea booking at the Lexington, where we shared a room with a wedding reception, when our function was a 70th birthday. This wasn’t properly stated when we booked and impacted our enjoyment of the session. »
