Not what advertised
I was expecting handicap accessible place but there was not one single grab bar in either bathroom. There was no room for a wheelchair in the bedroom or the bathrooms. It was very uncomfortable for us to get around. The property manager was very nice but she knew in advance our situation and didn’t tell me the issues we would in counter.

Cute decor inside with tv and amenities for cooking. Nice beach/bath towels. Lots of room to spread out (we were 2) Good beach cart and beach chairs. Limited parking on weekends; the back door is frosted glass and is always reflecting lights from outside. The beach is either 1/2 mile to see sunsets and Siesta Key Beach is about 1 1/2 miles drive away.

Gertrude Rentals - excellent customer service
I HIGHLY recommend Gertrude Rentals. Dan is VERY responsive! He found us a place to keep our luggage on our day of arrival, addressed an issue we had promptly (just a clogged drain), and he reached back out to make sure everything was going well. Our unit was clean and perfect for our visit to Siesta Key! If I head back to the area I will definitely stay at one of his properties!

Lovely and convenient. No shampoo or conditioner as told. They control your air/heat. Gotta ask if u want blankets. And couple windows don’t open or lock. Other than that location could not be better!! Loved the beach chairs, pool, and everything g else about the condo was Super cute! Thanks for accommodating 😃

Great and convenient
Loved the location of the rental! Everythinf is literally a 5 minute walk or less! Except the beach, that’s about 8 minutes but worth every step! The beach is gorgeous! The rental was clean and they provided everything we needed for our stay! Would definitely recommend to friends and family as well as revisiting ourselves!

Great Stay
First off the owner/manager Dan was very quick to respond to any questions. The condo was very nice and centrally located to the village where all shopping and food is. The place sits right behind the circle k store which was convenient for ice and drink runs.the place was very clean and had plenty of supplies like toilet paper paper towels trash bags and even pods for washing clothes. Wife liked the silver ware so much she had me find it on Amazon and order a couple sets. Don’t do like we did and bring beach chairs because there are like 4 or so beach chairs and a wagon to pull stuff on property to use per each room. That was a nice touch. We stayed on a bottom unit and there was a family with small kids above us that sounds like they was running a marathon all night and moving furniture. The noise from upstairs was bad but it is a vacation and we tried to just ignore it. The same people also must own a pot farm because you could smell weed every time you step outside. They would smoke on the balcony and at the pool. Also kids that wasn’t staying at the place would invade the pool from time to time. None of this is the fault of the property or it’s owner that could happen at any rental. We just took it mostly with a grain of salt figuring we are on vacation and not going to let it bother us. I would definitely book at this property again and do plan to. We had such a great time now just have to get over the sunburn and back to work. Can’t wait to go back!!

Everything as advertised had nice decor furniture and liked the on sweet very much. I would definety recomend to others. The little wagon to pull the chairs and beach umbrela provided was like pulling a empty wagon.

Small place in the center of town
The things we liked the most were the location and Daniel Jones. It’s not a big unit, but it’s plenty big. There were enough kitchen appliances and tools to please anyone. You’re only a block from all the shops too. It was further from the beach than we thought, so we drove there as it would be difficult to carry towels and beach accessories. It’s located right behind a gas station and on two occasions there were three or four guys hanging back there for an hour at a time. Nothing came of it, but it was uncomfortable. The main negative was the price. A lot of fees and a high price, in our opinion. Daniel was amazing and will do anything to make your trip a good one. I personally would not stay there again because of the price.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The daily rate for this property is not insignificant, so you deserve to know the good, the bad and the ugly. The GOOD. (1) While the property décor and furniture is very dated (read OLD), it was generally clean. (2) The pool itself is well maintained and clean. (3) The property is very close to Siesta Village fun as well as number of beach access points. (4) There are great beach chairs and a beach cart for your use. (5) The property manager is VERY responsive. We had one (fixable) issue and he responded and corrected it immediately. (6) This is a pet friendly property which is very nice. The BAD. (1) If you intend on doing anything other than warming food in the kitchen, you should look somewhere else. There is one two bulb light fixture for the kitchen. There are no other lights around the stove or any of the counter tops so it is almost impossible to see what you’re doing. There are few useful kitchen utensils. There is virtually no counter space whatsoever. There is a huge microwave on the only large counter space (you have to reach WAY behind it to put on the garbage disposal). There is a mish mash of cheap, unmatched dishes. No mixing bowls. Cheap pans you can’t cook on because everything sticks to them no matter how much oil you use. No oven mitts (which is OK because there is only one small, cheap oven pan). And, get this, one, only one, dishtowel and no dish clothes. (2) You get four (small) bath towels per bathroom and (drum roll) ONE hand towel per bathroom. The beach towels are small and cheap. The UGLY. (1) The people renting upstairs were very nice. But every time they walked around it sounded like a bowling alley above us at all hours of the day and night. The noise is unavoidable (we talked to them) but nonetheless really, really annoying. (2) The owner describes the back of the property as ‘facing the commercial area’. What it is is an alley shared with, among other businesses, a Circle K gas station which is open late hours. They have two wonderful porta-potties parked at the edge of the alley – the smell on a hot day was just wonderful. Kids love to congregate behind the Circle K every night smoking dope and drinking. Not safe for my wife and daughter. More to say, but no room.

My husband and I took a spur of the moment trip to Florida to beat the winter blues and came upon this rental. It’s exactly as advertised. Convenient to the beach, restaurants and stores. Dan is wonderful to work with. We had no issues at all. We’d come again!!

The first time we stayed at a non hotel location. I was very pleased since I was a bit skeptical as I’m a clean freak and have a strong mold allergy. The property was as advertised and better than I expected. Location was great and on the same block as our favorite beach pizza spot!

This listing was exactly as listed. Close proximity to anything you could possibly need. Pool was clean and easily accessible. Beach access spots all within an 8 min walk. If you stop at a shop or 2 on your way feels even shorter. Beach chairs were in good condition. And beach towels were of good quality. There was an umbrella left in closet for our stay. Make sure to bring a cooler to pack your beach beverages. Easy check in process and Dan was very responsive and accommodating. We have already forwarded this property to friends and family!!!

This was a great stay. My sister, nephew and niece stayed for a long holiday weekend. The place was clean very close to restaurants, shops and beaches. The house instructions were easy to follow with no questions.

This is the absolute perfect location in the village. We had quite a large group and the house had everything you needed. The property manager was very pleasant and responded quickly. The entire family loved it. We would definitely recommend this property!
