« Probably one of the worst 3 star hotel bedrooms (room 12) we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was terrible, ceiling paint was peeling off, shower seal was broken causing the floor to flood, toilet roll holder was hanging off, soap dispenser was broken, door handle did not work and signs of damp or roof leak staining on the ceiling. « Room 3, an Indugence Room. I’d say it could be more indulging - larger bed, mattress topper, bathrobes - for example. Unfortunately it’s above the pub so can be noisy, especially when the staff run up and down the creaky stairs - we spent the night in our room and it was a constant irritation. But other than that, the food is excellent, lovely decor, nice atmosphere, and Stockbridge is awesome. »

« The Grosvenor is on the main street, with it's own car parking behind the hotel. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The decor throughout the hotel was attractive and all the rooms well maintained. We had the Mayfly suite, which had a four poster bed, seating area and a large bathroom. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu. The attractive garden has plenty of seating areas. The location was perfect for where we were visiting. We will definitely return to the Grosvenor. »

« It’s the first room I’ve stayed in apart from an Airbnb where the room was not made up, pillows on the floor remained on the floor as did blankets etc. they said they were not allowed to touch anything that had an item of someone’s personal property on it, but they could have folded and tidied things, they left clean towels on the unmade beds. Absolute shocker really, not Airbnb prices either. Cot for child is small than usual size travel cots. Room was next to car park with noisy gravel no room...
