'We stayed in the Annexe for just one night on our way north and it was the perfect rest stop. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our brief stay - including milk in the fridge for morning teas. I would definitely recommend if you're visiting the area. 8 minute drive from Bruton. '

'Decent property for a single night stay with a family. Hard to find in the dark and no parking, though on-street parking and car parks are available locally. Three bedrooms with a small kitchen and wet room. Nowhere specific to eat as a family but small tables in each room were fine. Had to phone on the day to get the key code. This could be made more obvious - or the owner could communicate more proactively. '

'Set in beautiful surroundings with lots of walks on your doorstep and two local dog friendly pubs that serve food. The owners are lovely and helpful in person and replied to our messages very quickly before we came. The accommodation is very clean and really cosy, dog friendly being a plus. Will definitely visit again this summer.'

'Property was clean, the hosts were welcoming, friendly and thoughtful. It was exactly as advertised, quiet and conveniently located for the places and facilities we wanted to visit. Local pub was just a short walk and served good food. The property was easy to find given the scafolding currently around the main house, but may be more tricky to locate when this is removed. 'The studio is lovely and well equipped. It was exceptionally clean. Including bathrobes added a touch of luxury. It was easy enough to find with the instructions provided. I recommend a walk along the bicycle path from the local recreation ground. '

'Cheddar and the surrounding area is such a lovely part of the country and the Gatehouse matched that. The bed was large and very comfortable, the lounge perfect for snuggling away the evenings and the shower particuarly good! Parking also could not have been easier. Do note though, a lot of the roads in the area are narrow and twisty without footpaths so a small car is preferable and beware when walking them.'
