Welcome to Hawks Hideaway - your own private waterfront retreat on beautiful Lay Lake! Great for family gatherings, weekend getaways, fishing tournaments, holidays by the lake - you name it!

Hawks Hideaway offers plenty of room for your group to spread out while still providing comfortable and cozy spaces to gather together. With 3 bedrooms, 11 people can sleep comfortably (and we offer air mattress options if needed/requested). Three full bathrooms means less time waiting around when the whole group is getting ready for the day, or night!


This elevated lake house is everything you need for an unforgettable lake getaway. With beautiful views all around the property - especially from the new hot tub - direct waterfront access, a private dock, covered two-slip boathouse, multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces with smart TVs, Adirondaks around a gas fire pit on a huge top deck, gorgeous lake views, and ALL the comforts of home: it’s the perfect destination for your entire group!


THE SPACES

*THE MAIN LEVEL features 2 of the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, along with multiple gathering spaces (indoor + outdoor), and an open kitchen, dining, and living area designed for entertaining.

Prepare meals and host in the updated kitchen with all new appliances, and gather to dine inside or outside together at one of four dining areas available.

Unwind in the large living room around 3 different Smart TVs and a custom-built bar with beverage fridge (BYOB), storage, and large counter - perfect for Saturday and Sunday game days, holidays, and all the other lake days!

The living room and sunroom are great places to unwind + recharge, or gear up for big game days and root on your favorite team! Make this entire experience everything you want it to be!

When you’re ready for fresh air, or to really relax, head out to the top deck with a drink and light up the gas fire pit for a tree-top, lake view experience you won’t forget!

*THE LOWER LEVEL features a den/living area with sleeper sofa and a separate bunk room with gaming area! This creates especially useful gathering spaces for families traveling with children, multiple couples, or groups who simply want a little extra room to spread out, while the patio terrace access and lakeside views extends the outdoor entertainment space and creates a cozy area to unwind from the day.

The patio terrace features a 5-7 person hot tub which overlooks the lake and an outdoor Smart TV. There's also a dining area and a Blackstone griddle for all the entertaining possibilities!

The real attraction begins when you step outside, because some of the best memories happen here!

Hawks Hideaway sits directly on Lay Lake with over 90 feet of waterfront access and seawall, giving you and your group space to experience one of Alabama’s favorite recreational lakes. Dockside access for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing, or just floating around off the dock!
Bring your fishing gear, spend the afternoon on the water, or simply hang out and enjoy lake life, sights and sounds. Don't forget your binoculars - the egrets, herons, eagles, and osprey are amazing to watch!

In the evening, settle into the warm and bubbly hot tub as your favorite teams play or favorite show airs on the outdoor SmartTV, and take in the lake with a night-view that beats all others! The patio dining space and Blackstone griddle are just several feet away on the terrace. The Adirondack chairs on the top deck are also beckoning - gather around the large gas fire pit with your favorite people and feel like you’re in the trees with the best lake side view. It’s the perfect place to relax with a drink, tell stories, watch the sky change over the lake, and plan tomorrow’s adventures.
