Motels in Shackleford Banks

'We instantly noticed their beautiful cat, Mumu, when we checked in. It was nice to feel so welcomed as not all "pet friendly" places are friendly to cats as well as dogs. Christina could not have been nicer! When she realized we had 2 cats, she switched our room to the first floor to make it easier for us to settle in. We stayed four days and got additional coffee, cups and clean towels. We had been worried that our cats would escape if someone cleaned the room while we were away but she assured...

'The person at the front desk was bothered each time we asked for something. The floors in the room were filthy. The oven and stovetop were rusted and disgusting and could not be used. On the last day we were there, we found roaches crawling throughout the room. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it has always been clean and well-kept with friendly, helpful staff. Will probably not book another reservation here.'
