'Property needs an overhaul'

'It is always hit or miss when traveling to remote places of the UP, this was a hit! Very easy to access your room through the automated system in the office, directions and information was all provided. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and location was just outside of Newberry (7min drive to downtown). Additionally, it being a roadside motel, it was awfully quiet, not much road noise or noise from other guests, and it was quite full. Overall it was a reliable stay, would definitely...

'The most welcoming reception at the front desk I have experienced in a long time , thank you Kim! Also the only place of stay that had hot coffee available even at 9:30pm!!! If you are visiting Newberry look no further this is the place to stay.'

'Hotel was great, just wish they had balconies on the 2nd floor'

'Stayed there twice. First time was when I got into Michigan with my daughter. Room smelled of chlorine but next to pool. No breakfast as mentioned when booking. Booked hotel for the night before I had to leave and still no breakfast. Asked about it and they said it’s under renovations. Mentioned that while booking it had breakfast included and he said he doesn’t know why it’s on there and maybe I should ask for a discount.'

'The room was clean and adequate, but due to staffing issues there was no room cleaning for the five days we stayed there, and we had to get trash bags, towels, and toilet paper from the front desk.'
