Lovingly restored by owner Karin Kügler in the 1970s, this cozy retreat retains its original mill technology and rustic charm. Guests enter with a hand-forged key and are welcomed by the warmth of timber beams and the hum of history, especially comforting during autumn storms.

The mill has even starred in an episode of Tatort, Germany’s iconic crime series, and remains a favorite among photographers and locals. Karin and her partner Gerd Hammerich, who run a furniture store nearby, treat the mill like family and continue to host guests with heartfelt hospitality.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday, possibly with your pet, the mill offers access to forest walks, the Stöcklewald tower (6 km), and cultural gems like the German Clock Museum and Phonograph Museum in St. Georgen.
