Loved our stay at Playa Azul. The location is fantastic, only steps from the beach, the space was clean, well furnished and met all of our needs. Additionally, there were fast food options, Walgreens, and a decent grocery store located VERY close which really helped with our stay. Chairs/coolers/towels were a much appreciated amenity. Building and gate staff were kind and helpful. If there was any downside it’s that the gate to the beach and pool close at 7 (completely out of Gia’s control). Highly recommend!

This property is very secure with 3 layers. Fenced in, manned security gate, and manned security entrance to the property. It's in a nice area though and we never felt unsecure outside the gate. The unit is as stated on its page. We loved the layout with bedrooms on both sides with a common area in between. The view is great and we liked the fact that it was on the second floor, so not a lot of long elevator rides. There was easy access to the beach, and we were serenaded most days by a street musician outside the fence. Gia got back to us with any questions within minutes and was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and other things. It was only about 10 minutes to the rain forest road and we took advantage of that with 3 trips over our 8 day stay. There is a small bakery/restaurant right outside the gate, Panderri, that had great food made fresh and the best cup of coffee, also made fresh when you order it. No coffee pots that have been sitting for hours. Check the reviews, but there are many small restaurants with just a few tables that are very good and are within minutes of the condo. Ricon del Sabor made the best tasting Pina Colado I have ever had. You can't go wrong with this unit. It's beachfront, close to the El Yunque rainforest, and many good restaurants.' Only 35 minutes to the airport, and 45 minutes to Old San Juan. We would definitely stay there again.

We had such a great time at Playa Azul 1. This condo is great. View of beach is amazing. Listening to the water no matter what time of day was so awesome. The place is nicely furnished. Easy to get to from road. Liked the gated community. Right on beach. Perfect morning coffee spot on the porch. Felt safe at all times. Pool was nice- we did check it out on afternoon. Host was great to contact and replied immediately. She had great recommendations locally for us. Proximity to El Yunque, Cieba, Farajado the Luquillo Kiosks and San Juan was perfect for us. Our week here went too quickly ! In photos you can see condo from a point at El Yunque.

I stayed here with my wife and two teenage boys for four nights and enjoyed the stay. The condo is a small 2 BR, 2 bath, and is clean, fairly modern and nicely decorated. The photos accurately reflect it. It has a good location, roughly in between Luquillo kiosks/beach and the main commercial part of Luquillo (both are about a 10-12 min walk from the condo). There are a couple of fast food restaurants, a convenience store, and a bfast/coffee shop less than a 5 min walk, and numerous restaurants a 10-12 min walk. The grocery store is fine and less than a mile away. The condo is in a group of towers. The overall facility is rather aged and not fancy, but has some nice features. We especially enjoyed the basketball courts (there is one full court w/ 10' rims, and another mini full court with 8.5' rims which was fun for full court one v. one games). The tower is right across from a medium sized beach. There was a lot of seaweed when we went, which I'm sure is cyclical and didn't impact our enjoyment much. The waves were very fun at that beach (in contrast, there are no waves at Luquillo Beach, 7 Seas Beach, etc. nearby) and some body boards are included at the unit.The kitchen doesn't include an oven or a dishwasher, which isn't a big deal. The only real "flaws" were a lack of bath towels (4-6) and wash cloths (2-4); no laundry soap; only 2 trashbags. I gave it 5 stars other than the check in process. We pulled up to the gated entrance and had no instructions.

Perfect for us

Gia’s property was very comfortable, ultra clean, air conditioners worked well and kept us comfortable. The beach is amazing - not crowded and free of litter. There is a very nice bakery and a nice convenience store right outside the gate, and Gia gives excellent recommendations for restaurants and recreation. We found the ILove Luquillo Facebook page helpful also.

Caribbean bliss!

We had a lovely week at Gias! It was clean, modern and had all of the amenities we could want! The in unit laundry was a bonus! We loved the proximity to both Playa Azul and Luquillo beach! Thank you Gia for the recommendations for dining and activities—we can’t wait to come back!

Great Location!

This condo was perfect for our family of four. We appreciated the beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. Our kids loved the beach just across the street since it had great waves for boogie boarding. The condo is in a great location, so every place we wanted to visit was between 10 and 20 minutes away.

Fantastic location - great host

Excellent location for our family stay on the beach. Gia was a great host - responded to our questions quickly and had great suggestions for the area. Condo was in a great location, right on the beach, very modern, clean and we appreciated the beach towels, chairs, coolers, etc. - everything we needed. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the unit as well. The staff at the condo are also very kind and welcoming. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance, and a convince store. A grocery store is a very quick drive or a walk away. Also the beach is literally across a very quiet street. Luquillo was the perfect location to explore El Yunque, Fajardo, the surrounding beaches and a day trips to other parts of the island. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Really clean, well decorated condo on the 2nd floor. She provided beach chairs, games, beach towels etc. Within walking distance to the east are great little restaurants that overlook surfers, have live music and kiosks. Awesome home base for excursions and beautiful beach

Our family loved our stay here! The apartment looks out to the playa azul, which was a wonderful beach with few people, clean sand, and super warm beautiful water. We did day trips to El Yunque and Culebra and the location was perfect! Gia was a wonderful host and has a lovely place!

Beautiful, well-equipped, great view.

We have stayed in 5 different condos in this building over the last few years. This is the nicest one of all. The interior is very clean and modern, the beds are good, and it is very well equipped for your stay and for the beach. Gia is a pleasure to work with and everything was smooth checking in and out. The security of Play Azul is great, and this is in the best building, closest to the beach. We will rebook for next year, thank you Gia!

Very nice unit
