We welcome 1 dog to accompany your stay (non-shedding, less than 25 lbs). ~ This is a second floor condo of a 6-unit property with no private outdoor space or grill ~ Other units are also rentals and neighboring noise may be heard from time to time. ~ Like many coastal homes, this home does not have A/C. Bedrooms have wall heaters and standing fans. ~ San Diego Airport flight path runs over South Mission Bay. Airplane noise may be heard; however, departing flights are not permitted between 11:30pm-6:30am. ~ You must be at least 30 years old to rent this home. If all guests are adults, all guests must be over the age of 30, excluding families.
Neighborhood Notes: Mission Beach is San Diego's lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town with over five miles of waterfront boardwalk, trendy shops, restaurants, and Belmont Park, a beachfront amusement park featuring the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925 but since restored, miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing, and an arcade. Mission Beach is just a few minutes to Sea World, 15-20 minutes to The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego International Airport (SAN), and downtown San Diego.
Attention: This rental is located in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. Don't forget to report any damages, issues, or upgrade suggestions—we truly value your feedback! Check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless a late check-out was pre-approved. Amazing experience at Mission Beach!
We absolutely loved our stay. The property felt very spacious for our whole family (3 adults and 4 children). It was wonderful to be right on the water, and the bay side was very peaceful and much less crowded than the beach side! The property management was extremely responsive, the home was super clean and all our expectations were exceeded. We will continue to tell everyone about this property and we plan to come back every year for our family vacation. Thank you for hosting us, we can't wait to come back!

There was serious issues with information on codes to get in building then stairwell then apartment
Great location aweful on how to get into the various door locks then key to elevator went missing. Had to crawl into 2nd story window to get in on last night.

Decent
Decent place. Very loud doors, washer dryer and noisy neighbors. Kinda of out dated. We had a slight issue the day we arrived with my husband breaking the shower door. The wheels were broken on the slider and when he went to open it, it shattered! Maintenance cleaned it up the next afternoon, but they were suppose to bring us a shower curtain and NEVER did.

Parking & noise is an issue
The company drift away was not an issue.
Very responsive. Customer service will email you back quickly. I like that they tried to be sure all was well with any questions.
But, if there was anything i could change.
The location; I loved the close way access to the beautiful beach with my children.
Recommendation’s I’d give, although i know this isn’t the property management’s fault.
1. The parking area!!! I struggled in the greatest way, this was my greatest level of stress in this home.
Not good parking accommodation.
2. Noise level is horrible. Walls are like paper. There were obviously children over us on shifts. They ran triple time throughout the condo all day and night. I had a hard time sleeping.
The home was very cozy and nice. My children and i enjoyed our stay for my sons graduation otherwise.

Good unit for families with young children
Pros: We were glad to have a parking spot. The beach just outside the unit was perfect for walking with our two year-old. The sunrise from the balcony was gorgeous. The location was so convenient—a short walk over to mission beach and Belmont park. 20 minute drive to the zoo and 20 minute drive to Coronado. The unit was clean and modern. The two rooms were perfect for our two and one year-olds (pack and play for the latter). We didn’t have any issues with homeless people. Beds were comfy. Unit was well-decorated and furnished.
Cons: it got pretty hot in the unit at night without any air conditioning, but I guess that’s the norm in the area. The balcony is really small. The parking spot was VERY tight with our Toyota RAV4. All of the restaurants we tried nearby were mediocre. We had to drive a ways to find any that we really liked. There were airplanes flying over the room constantly (not at night) and it was pretty loud.
Other: the smell from the sewage grate wasn’t too bad.
Overall it was a very good experience and we’d consider renting here again. The location was so good, it outweighed the cons.

Nice Clean Place But Has Issues.
Pros: clean and great location, plenty of beach toys and towels, nice view of Sea World fireworks at night and of the bay, restaurants and bars as well as beach and amusement park within walking distance.
Cons: impossible to reach people without endless time on hold and then disconnected. Electrical issues constantly supposedly due to leak on floor above. Washer started at 2am for no reason and had to be replaced. Promises to call back didn’t happen and I had to call. Planes start at 6:30 and for first hour constant. Sewage smell occasionally from the bay. Screens on most windows don’t meet the window so flies kept coming in. Electrician had to put the refrigerator back in place as it was hanging out Into the middle of the kitchen. He was excellent by the way. Parking in the spot for condos 3-5 horrible due to a wall behind and took at least three tries and barely no clearance to get in and out. The photo doesn’t show the wall behind only the spot. Overall they need better communication and some general maintainence.

Perfect Vacation Rental
This rental is as perfect. We had my grandfather (94) and little ones (2 & 4) and it was perfectly suited for all. Amazing location, calm waters for swimming, very close to the water. If bigger waves are what you are looking for they are about an 8-10 min walk, 10 min walk to Belmont Park and kiddie parks on both ends of the strip. Very safe atmosphere, everyone is extremely friendly. Easy to walk for food, everything is open late. Rental has great view, comfy beds, lots of towels and well stocked with everything to meet our needs. I was only disappointed we could not stay longer. Loved it!!

Vrbo should not do 3red party rentals! They don't tell you it's 3rd party until after they take your money. My problem started on arrival unable to communicate with owner! Never again will I book with out speaking with an agent!

Beachfront Hidden Gem
This place was absolutely amazing! It was exactly as described if not better. It is directly on the sand, just steps away from the water. You can take an easy stroll to Belmont Park, parks and playgrounds, and a short drive to Sea World. Even closer, just steps away, there's a market, coffee shop, bars, and a few restaurants- everything we needed so we could maximize our beach time, never needing to leave! (Highly recommend the breakfast burritos at Sara's!). It has such a unique location on the strand, bayfront, yet cross the street and you're on the ocean side. It's a beautifully scenic part of the bay and seemed like a local secret. We were able to spread out on the beach, not overcrowded at all, and felt safe leaving our things on the sand all day. The unit itself was clean and exactly as pictured. The layout was great for our family of four, plenty of room. There's a clear view of the sand and beach right from the living room making it super easy to keep an eye on our kids while they played in the sand or a quick trip inside to cool off. They even had chairs, beach towels and toys. This place is a real gem! I've already booked my next stay.

Good overall, with a few glitches
The condo was clean with a very nice bay view-- pretty much as advertised. However the keyed lock on the front door to the property was broken and remained unlocked throughout most of our stay. I reported this to 710 management team about 6 days into our stay but it remained unsecure/broken for the remainder of our stay (at least 6 days). There was also a lot of construction noise (hammering, jack-hammering, and futzing with the large generator in front of the property) during daylight hours throughout our 13 day stay.
