Spend your relaxing beach getaway in our recently remodeled and updated 2 bedroom, 1 bath property on the water in San Diego's unique community of Ocean Beach. Enjoy our perfect location on the fenced back yard patio including several sitting areas, an outdoor table, a gas grill, and a door leading right out to Dog Beach. (We love dogs and do not charge extra for pets!)

Your vacation experience starts with an off street parking spot right in front of your door.
Just inside the door is the newly remodeled living room with a brand new couch and 50" 4K Smart TV. Fiber wifi and cable are included, with streaming apps accessible through the TV. The couch has a convertible bed for additional guests as well.

Down the hall is the larger of the 2 bedrooms with a queen sized bed (new Serta iSeries 2.0, new bedframe and nightstands), a TV with Roku and a large closet complete with an assortment of fresh robes and slippers. There are extra blankets/pillows in the closet.

Further down the hall is the spa bathroom complete with tub/rain shower, vanity space for 2 and a glass pedestal sink. The shower is lined in slate style ceramic tile trimmed in slate and limestone and the vanity area and back splash are glass mosaic tile. There are plenty of fluffy towels to pamper you and a powerful hair dryer.

The back of the house features an open area including a new kitchen, dining table, and lounging area with a door out to the patio. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, appliances, and utensils for your convenience. The adjacent lounge has a small couch, lounge chair, a wicker rocker, and another flat screen TV with DVR access.

The second bedroom houses adult extra-long bunk beds along with a built in desk and another closet complete with fresh robes and slippers. Its window looks out onto the patio and back yard. There are also 2 twin air beds with linens. The pillows are encased in hypoallergenic covers that are washed after each use.

Walk out the back door and you will find the renovated patio with deck, gardens, and plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors. Relax under the sail shades or soak up the sun in lounge chairs. Here guests may also be greeted by our friendly resident pup, Kairo. Outside the back gate is our newly constructed game area. Horseshoes anyone? Just beyond is the paved path out to the beach adjacent to the San Diego River estuary, a wetland sanctuary for birds such as blue herons, snowy egrets, pelicans and osprey. The beach on the left is for people and the beach on the right is Kairo's favorite spot, a unique off-leash area for dogs to run, swim and socialize!

Worth noting:
Like all of Ocean Beach and much of Mission Beach we are less than 10 miles from the airport, so planes do travel overhead. We have insulated the walls and roof of our property, and the City of San Diego requires that take-offs and landings cease between 11:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. Most guests say they seldom notice the planes inside the unit though for some guests they’re a mixed blessing. However, watch the skies closely and you could catch a glimpse of a fighter jet from nearby Miramar Air Force base which was the setting for Top Gun.
