We stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham San Antonio and had a very disappointing and upsetting experience.
They advertise free breakfast, but both mornings the options were either unavailable or not refilled. On the first day, we were told they were out of bread. On the second day, by 8:45 AM, there was almost nothing left. When we requested a refill, the lady manager was extremely rude and unhelpful.
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. I took a small portion—one bowl of cereal, three pancakes, and some juice—but the cereal quality was very poor. My child couldn’t eat it, so we threw the cereal in the dustbin. The manager then came, picked it up from the trash, and confronted us aggressively, questioning why we threw it away. She started accusing us, saying this is “not charity, this is a business,” and began threatening to charge us $20 for breakfast.
The situation escalated quickly. She raised her voice, continued accusing us unfairly, and then told us to vacate the property, saying it was “her property.” This behavior was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and humiliating—especially in front of other guests, who were also being treated poorly.
Additionally, the room conditions were unacceptable. The bathroom had mold, and the carpet was stained and appeared very old, which made the stay uncomfortable and concerning for hygiene.
We had to pack our belongings and leave immediately, which completely ruined our vacation. Although Expedia refunded one night, we still had to
