« This place was perfect for our little family. We had top floor and it was perfect. Walk to beach was perfect as well. View of ocean was amazing from the deck. The floor below us had other tenants and you could hear them very well talking or tv and their dog and when they walked the whole place shook. It was a little too close for comfort but we weren’t home much so we tried not to let it bother us. »

« Could have been cleaner and had ants in kitchen, plus one shower drain was clogged that we fixed. Not bad place. Good location/proximity to beach! Multiple decks and hot tub were nice for enjoying outdoors! »

« We had the best week at Always Remember. It was a breeze walking straight onto the beach and having the house right there to make lunch or take a break from the sun. We brought our dog with us, and it was so nice to be able to let him out throughout the day. The house was extremely clean and was the perfect set up for us! The hosts were so welcoming and available if we needed them, loved the lists of local spots they provided. We plan to return next year! »

« Our family of 5 visited the OBX for 2 nights.The house was what I expected from the listing. Well decorated in coastal themes. The host was very responsive to my questions and suggestions. Just a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again. »

« On our way down, the owner contacted us to tell us that the previous guest had broken the stove. They asked if it was ok to come replace it and they compensated us with lunch for interrupting our visit, which was not necessary, but grateful for the awesome pizza! They are extremely friendly and it was a great location. The kids loved all of the different rooms and especially the loft and balconies. If ever in the Outer Banks again, we will definitely reach out to them. »

« Absolutely loved the vintage feel of this. It was cozy and fit our needs. It was close to the beaches that we wanted to visit and was so quiet. I would definitely book again and 10/10 will recommend. Our host was awesome as well. »

« The check-in process was the worst ever....terrible. I sent 4 emails to the property owner to ask about how to enter the property and specific questions about sheets, towels, etc.... and never received a response. As a result I doubt that we will use Home Away again. The house itself was comfortable. »

« Overall this was a nice trip. The access to the beach has changed however and is a bit farther than listed. Our parents had a hard time due to to walking. The house itself was great. Overall we all had a fun time. »

« The house is advertised as the best handicapped house in the OBX. We concur this is absolutely correct. The ramp up to the main living floor was very convenient for unloading your vehicle. Everything on the main living floor was accessible including the dock. The location is next to Hatteras Watersports where jet skis and kayaks were available for rent - very convenient! The owners were very responsive to any needs/concerns. For sure, the house rates a 5 star! We look forward to going back! »

« We enjoyed our stay The house clean and presented like the photos. There are a few minor repairs needed. The stove top cooks on high all the time. Corner cabinets doors in the kitchen are coming off the hinges, blinds in the master bedroom and bath on the first floor are incomplete, table in master up stairs is broken and the dryer takes two cycles to dry anything, There is limited large pans for cooking for a larger group, number of towels provided are enough for a day so your doing laundry...

« Another great OBX stay is in the books! The house was very clean, on a quiet street, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub is awesome, and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. You can easily walk to a few nearby restaurants and shops! We would stay at the Tropicana Cabana again! »

« The place is just as advertised, clean and well-maintained. I got there at dark in the rain, so it was a bit hard to find amongst the other modulars in the cul-de-sac, but the host provided detailed directions which made the search much easier lol. Jonathan is responsive and provides all the last minute things you might forget for your stay, such as sunblock, water bottles, and even dog dishes for your furry co-pilot, so you can focus on hitting the beach once you get there :) »

« The house was very clean, and beautiful. They def need a new mattress or thick mattress pad our back is killing. And it is categorized as ocean view which is EXTREMELY deceptive. On a crystal clear day you can see a SLIVER of the ocean. Should definitely just be listed as ocean side. The grill needs maintenance. We made some burgers and it went from not at all to being on fire a bit. It stayed contained but charred our burgers. Also not really a complaint, but in the bedrooms the light...

« Great location, enjoyed the house all around. Few minor issues with pool not getting warm till Thursday for swimming. General maintenance on outside cut grass trim trees and bushes. The cleaners did t do a very gd job of sweeping and putting fresh rolls toilet paper and paper towels out like was described as starter pack. But Wld definitely stay there again. « Great location, kids loved the pool. No gas for the gas grill and the shrubbery by the driveway needs a serious cutback so as to not scratch your car coming and going. New rope needed for the crab pot it snapped on us but the kids had a great time catching and releasing crabs. »
