I am very impressed with this property. The kids enjoyed being able to step outside and immediately be on the beach. The adults enjoyed that as well, but we were happy to have the outdoor patio area to chat and watch the kids play in the ocean. I definitely recommend staying here with family and/or friends!

Outstanding views with sunrise and sunsets

We were excited for our vacation on the oceanfront property. The views were breathtaking with the sunrises and sunsets – 180 view. We went to beach every day - having beach access was great. The inside of home was very clean and bug free. The layout of the home was very family oriented with a large kitchen. The thermostat controlled sunroom was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the golf cart. Being able to have access to the community pool and playground was a nice feature. The gift shop and food at Turtlle’s Nest was great. With that being said, I want to share things that could have been better about the home. The master bed was very uncomfortable. We woke up everyday with back aches. The front storm door, no door closure. We had to pull it hard to shut it. The handle inside fell off multiple times. The same with back door leading out to the sundeck from the sunroom. We are unable to use top deck leading out of the bedrooms, due to mold on doors and bugs and spiderwebs on deck and ceiling. That was a missed opportunity for ocean views. The outside house could use some much needed power washing. There was mold on the decks and railings and nails popped up, which makes it a hazard. This made it difficult for us to come outside with our children and use the deck or stairs. The garage was not clean. With a list of items given to maintenance for repairs, it seemed that the maintenance people knew some of the issues had already existed. One back door to sunroom could not lock.

Family Vacation

We had 8 adults and three children ages 6 and under. The beach house was exactly as it appeared online. Absolutely beautiful! We all felt very special as we walked into our rooms and had bed-linens, towels, soap and extra amenities in the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. However, if you plan to make a Beaufort stew, you will need to bring a large pot and burner. The ocean was very calm and without a lot of waves. This was perfect for the children. We did have some issues with biting flies so we just made sure we used bug spray. It was very nice to walk out the back of the house and be right on the beach. The outside shower and toilet area were a very nice bonus. We had a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean from the sun room and deck. The sunrise was beautiful to watch from the porch every morning. Because the ocean was so calm, we were able to easily get the kayak onto the ocean and then paddle around the island and out further towards the dolphins. Kathy, our property manager, was wonderful. She quickly responded to the questions I had and even checked in on us. We had family members that enjoyed the pool and the workout/weight room. The children loved being able to ride in the golf cart to the pool. One of the most exciting moments of our stay was watching some of the baby sea turtles make their way from the nest close to the house to the ocean. Everyone in the family had such a wonderful time. We plan to stay here again next year!

Awesome property

We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for our family including two very young children. We especially loved the beach, the Carolina room, the golf cart, and the cleanliness. The Beach and Racquet Club access was a nice bonus.

It was great being with and celebrating being cancer free. The house needs to be upgraded a lot of old things. Way too much money for what you are offering in the house. Add Netflix to all the rooms

Holiday Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation with 8 adults and 6 kids at Harbor Point. The size of the house was just right, and everyone enjoyed being directly on the beach. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with all the needed items. The island had a nice quaint feeling with picturesque homes.

Nice house

Description of house was accurate. Did have problem with golf cart but they property manager got us a new rental. Problems with wasp nest, they did bring over some wasp spray and they help stop the wasp flying around. Kitchen was beautiful and had everything in you could need. Over all a great house, great location. Definitely would recommend this house to rent( the property manager was hard to get a hold a few times- if I was the owner I would look into them).

Not bad, but not great

The location is wonderful and the property is pet friendly which is a plus for us. We had a good time overall. Minor issues include the overall upkeep of the house, it is in desperate need of regular maintenance. Things such as broken blinds, bugs in front glass door and infestation of spiders upstairs could be easily corrected. My teenagers woke up to spiders in their bed daily and the upstairs porch was unusable because of the bugs. The kitchen is stocked, but poorly organized and in need of some new items (pots and pans, etc.) and the refrigerator is rather small if you have a big group. There is an additional refrigerator in the garage, but it’s inconvenient to have to go down to get something. My biggest complaint is communication with the property manager and owner. It was good before we arrived, but after arrival we texted inquiring about the code to enter the fitness room. The owner was polite but didn’t know the information and directed me to the property manager who never responded. Then we had a bald tire that went flat and I texted both the property owner and manager and never got a response from either. So luckily, the locals were sweet and helped us with both, but I am irritated that I paid $75 to replace a tire on the golf cart (which by the way is NOT as advertised in the listing, it only seats 4 people). Would I return? No

Quiet, Dolphins, Sea Turtles, Sea Stars & Much More!

Gorgeous place to stay, especially for our beach wedding! Quiet low key beach, I think we might have seen a total of 30 people total on the beach our entire stay! Which is great for us! This property is perfect for watching dolphins play and feed. During our stay we must have watched them for 3+ hours on numerous days while drinking coffee and eating breakfast. We arrived Saturday, there was 1 loggerhead turtle nest and when we left a week later, there were 9 total on the island with 3 directly in front of the house. We asked the volunteers daily about updates and they were more than willing to talk to us. Beds were really comfortable, ac worked great, loved that the kitchen was fully stocked! There are only minor complaints about the property we had. The blinds on the enclosed porch need repair, especially since they need to be closed during May-October at night for the turtles. Some of them needed to be rolled up instead of being able to use the string to open. There was lots of trash on the side of the home by the trash area when we arrived, not sure if it was from the previous stay or wind. Spiders and hornets were pretty bad in the enclosed porch, over the upstairs rooms & garage, but we bought raid and it seemed to take care of them for the most part. Found a couple of spiders in the house (bathrooms & kitchen cabinets) but it is SC. Overall the house was wonderful, plenty of room and clean. Just a few minor teaks and it would be perfect! Would stay again for sure!

Retreat on the Beach

This house is lovely. Right on a very quiet beach. We spent hours on the decks and porches. All the beds were very comfortable. Very limited shopping in the vicinity so do remember to pack all your necessities.

Easter and Spring Break Family Fun.

Our family of 5 adults and 2 young children spent a wonderful week at Harbor Point Beach Estate on Harbor Island. Though this was our 2nd visit to Harbor Island, it was the first time in this beautiful and spacious home, literally footsteps from the beach. We felt welcomed from the moment we made the reservation to when we checked out. The keyless entry worked well and the house very clean on arrival. it was very helpful to have a starting supply of soaps and paper products (if you stay more than a few days, you will need to bring or buy extras). The beds, pillows, and linens were very comfortable and the water pressure/temperatures in all three bathrooms was great. (These things are important to us when we stay in vacation homes for an extended visit.) This home offered plenty of space for private/quiet time, and more importantly, for time we spent together eating, doing crafts, or watching a movie. The huge enclosed porch came in handy on the rainy days—the children could play, and the adults could watch the changing tides. We loved watching the shore birds and even saw a couple pods of dolphins. We enjoyed our visits to Hunting State Park and to some of the local eateries and historic spots on the Island. Thank you Alicia (owner) and Kathy (manager) for your hospitality and great care of this home away from home.

Magical Vacation

This property was everything we hoped for and more. We could see dolphins jumping in the ocean, not just from the back porch, but even from the living room and dining room. The kitchen really was well stocked, it had everything we could want. It was the perfect place for my extended family to come together for a family retreat. I would say it was a once in a lifetime trip, but I am hoping to go back again and again.😁😁😁

Great Home

Great Home. Minor issues. House did not have a portable crib as stated. We had to go to Walmart and buy a play pen. Door locks could use some WD40 and updating and needs updated mattresses in some of the rooms. Great location. Loved seeing the Dolphins. Not to fond of the swarms of biting nats outside. Would definitely rent again and come prepared with bug repellent next time.

Relaxing vacation

Beautiful views and lots of room! Had a couple issues with the condition of the accessories (beach chairs, kitchen pots and pans, bugs). The property manager brought us new beach chairs and called an exterminator for us. They were quick to address any issue. I would recommend adding some local restaurants, shopping, activities. I left some info for next person. Overall good week!

This was an amazing house. We had 10 adults and 8 children under the age of 8. The location is amazing, just a few steps from the beach. The closed in porch was a big plus. The only issue we had were the appliances. The stove turns on every time you accidentally brushed up against the knobs. The dish washer had to be ran several times to clean a load of dishes. I would also recommend a larger fridge or add an extra. We spent hundreds of dollars on ice. Not a big enough fridge for 18 people. But it truly is a lovely home. Thanks for allowing us to visit. With all said and done we would definitely rent again.

Family time

Wonderful place for a family gathering. ON THE BEACH meant easy for momma with tiny ones…we didn’t have to move the house down to the beach. Plenty of space for different activities at all times. We loved our time here.
