'The hostel seemed newly refurbished as it all looked really crisp and clean. It is located about 10 minutes from a train station and about 50 meters away from a shopping street. Close by, semi-hidden, there are two local bars (Izakaya) filled with locals who welcome foreigners. One is named Minato Pizza (delicious pizza's and food in general) and standing bar Kimura. The standing bar is run by a family. We have spend quite a few evenings here making fun and friends with the locals.'

'It is an underrated and with high security level hotel at Fukushima, 15 minutes alway from Umeda and Osaka stations. Clean and tidy, the room for twin bed is large enough to open two large luggages at the same time. The environment and interior are all great. 'The hotel isn't all that close to Shin-Osaka (the station where the shinkansen arrives), however, we wanted to go to Osaka to visit the aquarium and to watch a baseball game at the Tokyo Dome. The hotel is very close to these attractions, and also directly connected to downtown (take the pink subway line). So in that regard the location was very nice. 'De eerste kamer die we kregen stonk erg naar rook. We hadden rookvrije kamers besteld. De receptie probeerde ons in eerste instantie over te halen om te blijven, maar wij bleven weigeren. Toen kregen wij een kamer op de 23e etage met een prachtig uitzicht zonder rookgeuren'
