All residential ... walkable food options are 4-5 blocks away. If you are in good shape (not old like us) it's great. . However due to our age. The front steps plus steps to 3rd level of house were tedious. And we were unaware of this layout.

Overall, this is a good apartment with good amenities. Good setup, modern kitchen. Walkable neighborhood. My main issue was with cleanliness. It just felt like it needed a deep clean / the last round of cleaning was B, especially the bathroom. Also, minor comment, but lots of places on the walls where it had been recently spackled but not repainted; or nails left in the walls from previous pictures; or picture frames with no pictures or the pictures that are in frames when you buy them. This, along with the B on cleaning, gives the impression of not trying super hard.

The unit was lovely. Very pleasantly decorated. Beds and furniture very comfortable. Well supplied. Updated kitchen and bathrooms. We did have a little trouble with the lock and had to use the available key. Location and parking was very convenient. Check in and out process very smooth. I would recommend this place (in spite of the dilapidated property next door) unless you have trouble with stairs.

Nice property, problem with smoke alarm

This was the second time my friend and I stayed here. We like this property because it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. But this time, when we arrived, the smoke alarm was beeping and saying “low battery” once a minute.I sent a message to the property manager who told me he couldn’t come over and no one would be able to help until the morning. He suggested we stand on a table and try to turn off the alarm, which, insanely, we tried. But we couldn’t do it.After much back and forth via the app and text messages, almost two hours had gone by, and the property manager was still saying he couldn’t come over. The next time he texted, I was on the phone with VRBO, and I texted him back to say I was on the phone with VRBO. Next thing I know, he said he’d be over in 10 minutes.He did come and fix the alarm. He was nice, charming even, but this was not a great start to my birthday weekend. I didn’t have a way to reach the owner directly or I would have done that. I would love to see a partial refund for the aggravation and the loss of two hours of my vacation. The property is nice (except for the photo frames with nothing or the pictures they came with in them). The house next door was in a fire, but you can’t see it from inside the unit. There is an EV charging station around the corner, which I used. The first time we stayed here, we were quite pleased. We probably would have been this time, too, if it weren’t for the smoke alarm incident.

Comfortably Close

Communication with the property manager was super easy! We had the back and forth and I found the unit. So close to the convention center yet a nice escape from the hubbub of the downtown area. There were some kids staying in an adjacent unit that really enjoyed staying up late, but my back bedroom was far enough away to accommodate and allow me to get some sleep. Hope this is open next year, will definitely book again!

Disappointing Stay - Safety Concerns

We were looking forward to our stay at this rental but were ultimately very disappointed. The property is located in an unsafe area, which was not disclosed in the listing. There was an abandoned/burned house next door, which made us feel uneasy. To make matters worse, the safety keypads were not functioning properly, and the front door did not have a deadbolt-basic security feature that should be standard in any rental. These issues made us feel uncomfortable and we left the home shortly after arriving. While the interior of the rental was as described, the lack of security and the surrounding environment were major concerns. In fact, the windows facing the abandoned ransacked home were covered in an obvious attempt to block out the view. We would not recommend this property, especially for families. Unfortunately, we left approximately two hours after we arrived and rented a room at the Hilton.

Much Better Location than We Thought

Having never stayed overnight in Sacramento before, we were a bit wary.Google showed the house next door to be abandoned (it is), there are a lot of stairs up to the front door (not that bad, actually), they keep the Garbage Cans in the "front yard" (not the issue we expected it to be), and the owner/manager kept assuring us that our car would be fine even-though the street is 1-hour parking all day long (he was right, enforcement never came by).The home was clean and comfortable, and a very nice place to stay.AND it was VERY close to everything we needed and wanted to do in Sacramento.The owner / manager was Very Responsive and helpful.

Very clean cozy and comfortable in downtown

Check-in was very straightforward. Communication was on point and instructions were clear. The parking situation made us a little nervous but ended up being fine. Everything was clean, everything worked, and the furnishing was comfortable. I wouldn't recommend walking around too far at night, saw a pizza place a few blocks away and decided to walk at night.. That was a mistake! I didn't feel safe. Had no issues on our actual street though.
