'The room was like a sauna when we got in there, the heating had been left on and windows were closed. It’s the most basic room. The bed squeaked every time you moved and the pillow was thin. It was an uncomfortable night. The shared bathroom was dirty and there was a hole in the ceiling. Would not stay again'

'It was pretty good overall. No light switch near the bed, the duvet was too heavy. I didn't like not having a key and it was a nuisance having to keep a note of codes and having to type them in every time you entered. Also, I didn't like receiving the codes at the last minute. But these are all minor points, overall it was good.'

'I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. 'Oddly unwelcoming guest, mocked me for using Expedia upon entry to the property. Laughed about me essentially getting scammed for using Expedia and instructed me that I wouldn't be having breakfast instead of offering it to me. Tiny bathroom with a tiny shower. Instructed that you are forbidden from bringing food in to your room. Upstairs room had TV on full volume until 3am (it has been possible to restrict certain volume levels on TVs for over 20 years to prevent this issue). Poor parking at...
