How fortunate we were to be able to book this holiday at quite short notice. Everything was excellent - the welcoming roses from our Host's garden, the home baking, the treats - and the cottage itself could simply not be better for us. Peter and I are very grateful and of course plan to return......

A lovely stay in Ripon

We loved our time in Ripon, it was a lovely place with quite a few options for pubs, restaurants and places to explore, all within walking distance. The cottage itself was beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean, and Katharine made us, and our dog, feel very welcome. We can't recommend the Hayloft enough, if we are back in Ripon, we will definitely book it again, 5 stars! :-)

Lovely cottage with a personal touch

Perfect for two, if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and to explore the Moors and Dales, or just to enjoy Ripon and its surroundings. Has everything you could possibly want or need. The owners are super nice! We would love to come back.

Cosy and comfortable cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft - the owner was so kind and helpful to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed the suggested walks from the cottage in the beautiful countryside to Fountains Abbey and we were so lucky with the weather. The delicious treats left in the cottage, the lovely fresh flowers, the fantastic log burner all added to our perfect stay. We will be back.

Excellent holiday

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft, it is really well situated with easy access to Ripon and then the wider Yorkshire area with lots of lovely walks/attractions within easy reach. Katharine the host was lovely and the recommendations in the visitors book were excellent. We would definitely recommend the Hayloft for relaxed getaways and would definitely return

A Yorkshire home from home!

The Hayloft is a comfortable immaculately clean holiday home in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Ripon with local facilities within walking distance. We had a lovely welcome from Peter and Katherine and we were grateful for the goodies they left for us. Lots of helpful information in the property on the many highlights of North Yorkshire. This was a return visit for us and hopefully won’t be the last one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft. An easy walk into Ripon and perfectly situated to access the countryside. The hosts, Katharine and Pete were extremely hospitable and available. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others.

November in the Hay Loft

What a gem the Hay Loft is! A wonderful cosy hideaway close to Ripon town centre but with walks from the doorstep. Beautifully kept and presented, with a plentiful supply of logs for the fire. We only had a short break, but it was wonderful. Many thanks indeed to Katharine and Pete - a great place to stay!

Beautiful cottage tucked away within a short walk of the centre of Ripon. Very well equipped,warm and comfortable. Very quiet location, owls hooting at night, no traffic noise. Just a pleasant stroll into Ripon with its amazing cathedral and quaint streets. Lovely

Perfect place to stay when visiting Ripon

A lovely find and warm welcome from host Katharine. Lovely fresh flowers and lots of treats, including homemade shortbread and Yorkshire tea loaf. Comfortable and cosy with lovely courtyard. Only 10 minute walk to centre of Ripon. Would highly recommend the Hay Loft
