La Torre dei Due Cuori is an authentic Ligurian tower house, lovingly preserved so you can experience Riomaggiore as it has been lived for generations.

Rather than reinventing its character, we chose to preserve its original soul while adding the comforts modern travellers appreciate most: premium mattresses, quality linens, adjustable ceiling fans, and thoughtful details throughout the home.

Unlike many historic homes in Riomaggiore, La Torre dei Due Cuori offers a rare combination of features: an independent tower house entirely for your private use, abundant natural light, easy access from Via Colombo, and a private terrace with unusually open views across the village.

Spread across three traditional levels, the house is entirely yours, with no shared spaces. Located on a quiet residential street just steps from Via Colombo, it offers the perfect balance between peaceful relaxation and village life.

✨ Bedrooms Designed for Restful Sleep

The house offers two comfortable double bedrooms, located on the first and second floors. Large windows fill each room with morning light while allowing fresh air to flow naturally through the rooms for much of the day.

Designed for restorative sleep, both bedrooms feature premium mattresses, quality linens, adjustable ceiling fans and an additional Rowenta standing fan for extra comfort during the warmer months.

One of the simple pleasures of staying here is opening the windows each morning. You'll hear people greeting each other, visitors wandering through the narrow streets, seagulls overhead and, throughout the day, the church bells echoing across the village. These gentle sounds are part of everyday life in Riomaggiore and remind you that you're staying in a real Ligurian home, not simply a holiday apartment.


🍷 3rd Floor – The Heart of the Home

The entire third floor is dedicated to living, gathering and enjoying the spectacular surroundings.

Here, the open-plan kitchen, dining area, lounge, bathroom and private terrace flow naturally together, creating the space where you'll likely spend your favourite moments.

As the afternoon progresses, the southwest-facing windows fill the room with warm golden light, creating an atmosphere that changes beautifully as the sun slowly moves toward the sea.


The Living Room

After a day hiking the coastal trails or swimming in the Ligurian Sea, the cozy lounge invites you to slow down.
A comfortable sofa, warm oak furniture and beautiful natural light create the perfect place to read, enjoy a glass of local wine or simply watch village life unfold outside the windows.


The Kitchen & Dining Area

The rustic kitchen preserves the charm of a traditional Ligurian home while providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Its marble sink, wooden details and welcoming dining area make everyday meals feel special—whether you're preparing breakfast before a day of exploring or sharing fresh seafood with a bottle of Cinque Terre wine.

More than simply an outdoor space, it's where you'll truly fall in love with Riomaggiore.

Begin your mornings with breakfast overlooking the rooftops as the village slowly wakes beneath you. In the evening, enjoy an aperitivo while the warm Mediterranean light bathes the colourful houses and the sun begins to disappear beyond the sea.

From the terrace you'll enjoy views of the Church of San Giovanni, the lively village square, pastel-coloured houses, the surrounding hills and a glimpse of the Ligurian Sea.

Unlike many terraces in Riomaggiore, this one enjoys an unusually open outlook. Slightly elevated and open on several sides, it offers a rare combination of openness, privacy and tranquillity while remaining wonderfully connected to everyday village life.

It's the kind of place where you sit down for a few minutes and somehow end up staying for hours.

Throughout the day the changing light, the sound of church bells, distant conversations drifting up from the square and the gentle rhythm of village life create a constantly evolving scene that never feels quite the same twice.


The Bathroom

As in many traditional Ligurian tower houses, the bathroom is compact, bright and fully equipped.
It respects the home's original architecture while providing everything you'll need for a comfortable stay.


Important Note

Like many authentic Ligurian tower houses, the home follows a traditional vertical layout.
The staircases connecting the first and second floors are wide and comfortable, while the final staircase leading to the third floor is the home's original staircase—slightly narrower, full of character and typical of historic Ligurian houses.

The Location

La Torre dei Due Cuori is located in a quiet and easily accessible area in the heart of Riomaggiore.

Unlike many homes in Riomaggiore, you won't need to climb the village's famous public stone staircases to reach the house.


Arriving by Train

From Riomaggiore Train Station, you'll enjoy a gentle uphill walk along Via Colombo with no public steps. When it's time to leave, the return to the station is an easy downhill stroll.


Arriving by Car

If you park in the upper parking area, the walk to the house is entirely downhill and step-free. Please note that the return to the parking area at departure is uphill.

Despite its central location, the house is slightly tucked away, offering peace and privacy while remaining within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the marina.

Its elevated position and the absence of buildings directly in front create a rare sense of openness, with open views across the village, the Church of San Giovanni, the surrounding hills and a glimpse of the Ligurian Sea.
