« Helpful staff , excellent room »

« The Castle House is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous, including a wonderful tub for a relaxing bath and a huge, comfortable, fancy bed. Breakfast was delicious and packed lunches were available for us C2C hikers. Our only small gripe was that the hosts were not available in the evening to help us with laundry, but I would still recommend staying here! »

« The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Pub had a lovely atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. »

« Very friendly wellcoming. Lovely breakfest and diner. To much disturbed by a kitchen fan wich makes a lot of noice at night. Some night he wasn't turned off. He went on hole night. »

« A beautiful property, very clean and well situated. Secure parking and easy access to Richmond. A true welcome and good value for money. Highly recommended. »

« We've got handi room and we are not handi. Why ? Hôtel is ok for the price. »

« Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par la jeune dame, et nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme à la maison. L'ambiance du pub est incroyablement conviviale, avec des locaux discutant joyeusement. C'est l'incarnation même du cosy anglais. Notre chambre était un véritable havre de paix. « Food was excellent and was in a very scenic part of North yorkshire »

« Great location, good size all round, good shower, well equipped kitchen (inc. washing machine & detergent), comfortable, quiet, parking great, good value for money. »

« It is a dog and child friendly pub with a large garden area with a childrens bouncy castle, so if you like dogs and children this is the place for you. The Menu was a little restricted to typical pub grub. Prices for wine and beer were on the high side. If you want to eat a meal without being disturbed by hoard of children going to the toilet then avoid the garden room dining area. »

« Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant »

« Wonderful house, spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Perfectly located for the shops and attractions. Would stay again »

« Good location with excellent views, unfortunately room was very basic and smelt damp. The shower was poor and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Continental breakfast in October??? Over priced stay for basic amenities. »

« Everything was made so easy, the owner Paul was easy to correspond with, Thanks again »
