4 Bed in Richmond (oc-g0083)

  • Nestling high up in the magnificent Swaledale of the stunning North Yorkshire Dales, there is a real sense of getting away from it all at this truly fabulous family-friendly home. The scenery surrounding you offers picture-postcard views as far as the eye can see. Pop on your walking shoes and explore the rolling countryside before taking respite in the award-winning gastropub in the nearby village of Low Row, located within walking distance for those wanting to connect with civilisation. If you fancy a change of scenery, head 10 miles south to visit the 14-century Bolton Castle or venture 15 miles east to visit the market town of Richmond with all its attractions.

Step inside to discover a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room complete with heated stone flooring throughout. The kitchen is home to a traditional stove and breakfast bar as well as the farmhouse-style table for formal dining. The generous lounge features a cosy wood burner along with comfortable sofas so you can gather around in front of the TV of an evening. Also located on the ground floor is a utility room/shower room complete with handy WC. When the day is done, retreat upstairs and take your pick of one of the four bedrooms; two sumptuous king-size bedrooms, a large twin room, and one generous single all complete with homely soft furnishings. The first floor is also home to two family bathrooms, each complete with bath and shower so you can avoid queuing of a morning.

The exterior of the cottage offers an uninterrupted view of the Yorkshire Dales National Park below, you could spend hours taking it in. There is a raised lawn area to the side of the cottage, with further gardens and a patio to the front complete with BBQ and patio furniture so you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining during the warmer months. Throw down a blanket on the lawn and appreciate the tranquil ambience as you read your favourite book or magazine. The cottage offers off-road parking.
