'Helpful staff. Beautiful beach and pool. Nice rooms which are very clean and cleaned every day. Frequent problems with hot water, but this is common in Colombia. Inconvenient if you need to use an ATM - have to take a taxi into downtown Tumaco. '

'I loved my stay at the El Almejal! The room was great, clean and nicely decorated and I had peaceful, quiet sleeps.
I really enjoyed the hotel staff (Fer and America, and co, they were really lovely, and they made my stay all the more better.
The resort is located on a very pretty beach, which was great, as I enjoyed going into the water.
One thing I did whilst I was at the resort is I spent a few hours one day picking up plastic on the nearby beach. I think this might be something that the...
