'It was delightful to stay at this quaint little cabin! It's well appointed with everything needed, and the location right on the beach is ideal. I had the pleasure of watching eagles, herons, seals, sea otters, and many more forms of wildlife right out the front window. The cozy fireplace is a great added touch for the cool evenings. If you seek quiet, solitude, and a beautiful venue to re-charge, this place is for you. '

'We had a wonderful girls trip at the Slow Go. It was a little tricky to find, as the entrance isn’t immediately visible especially in the dark but once we got familiar with the surroundings it was no problem! The property was lovely, great fire pit, well-stocked and comfy cabin. Being close to the highway meant it got a bit noisy at times but not bad at all. The host was wonderful to communicate with when we had to troubleshoot a situation with the lock and fixed it right away. Would recommend...

'This is our third year and we will keep coming back. The cabin lacks for nothing, the king bed is super comfortable, the hot tub is perfect.. right outside the door. We LOVE this get away and Cathy and Owen are the perfect hosts. Perfect for couples of all ages. '

'The check in was easy, the host was very attentive and was quick to reply to any queries. The location is very good and the swimming pool is excellent. There is good parking and a lovely little adventure golf course and arcade included.'

'Our family of 4 was very comfortable and happy with the property. The lake is a short walk downhill and has a diving board the kids enjoyed for hours a day. The property provided firewood which was nice at the community pits. '

'Fijn huis met prima bedden. Alles aanwezig wat we nodig hadden. Veel leuke plekjes bij het huis waar je heerlijk kon zitten. Wij zaten elke ochtend met een kopje koffie in onze tuinstoelen aan de zee. Mooie uitzichten! De inrichting van het huisje is wel wat gedateerd maar was ondergeschikt aan alle comfort die we hadden.'

'My husband and I stayed at The Cabin for a week June 26th - July 3rd, 2025. We were thrilled to find this perfect retreat in the countryside outside of Port Alberni and the proximity was perfect for us. Even though we didn’t use the amenities at all, we think they are all perfect for a family or group to use. Surrounded by lush foliage it’s a cozy place to enjoy the outdoors. We also did the farm tour which was offered as an activity. It’s so amazing to see how hard this family has worked in...
