« Checking in was really easier, we were shown around and then to our room. If you are going to stay here definitely book the mountain view room "Parc", modern spacious room. « Bien placé pour découvrir les sites avec un grand parking. Par contre la literie avec des matelas à ressorts et des lits pour deux assez étroits, par rapport à ce qui se fait pour ce prix, ce n'est pas acceptable. On a signalé qu'on avait mal dormi quand on nous a demandé si tout allait bien, sans plus de considération. Pour dßner, prévoir 2h de service. L'espace piscine est vieillissant. »

« A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting.
Comfortable, clean, cozy.
On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing.
Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for.

« I had a really nice stay at this guesthouse. It is kind of old-fashioned, but not rundown. A lot of decorations reminiscent of Carmarthen's past as well as of the place itself. A place you could maybe have found the same 30 or 40 years ago and well-maintained eversince. I really loved the mood.
Also, the owners are really super nice, kind and welcoming. A good traditional cooked breakfast is served in the morning.
Go there if you like old-style UK and want to support independent owners. I would...

« Nice small cosy room that was toasty warm. Only marked it down as the milk in the little pots was just a solid mass of gloop so could not make a drink. A note on the wall advised that milk was available downstairs in the bar, which is no good if you make a first brew after the place is closed. »
